Norman Collier, a popular Toronto area artist has created a delightfully interactive space for people of all ages and abilities just outside of Pickering and Markham, a short 45 minute drive from downtown Toronto. A man with many talents such as woodcarving, writing and animal care, Norm is also a passionate advocate for human rights, farmland preservation and democracy.
The farm is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays year round, as well as for birthdays and all other kinds of parties, gatherings, celebrations, recreation and school groups by appointment. Just give Norman a call ahead to set up a group visit anytime! If you write to us on Facebook you can expect a 1-3 week response time, so best to just call if you can.
Depending on the season you may be able to bottle feed a baby goat, sheep or cow. Other times you might feed and water baby ducks, chickens and rabbits.
Be prepared to have fun, get dirty and do things you've never done before! Don't forget your rubber boots and camera! We appreciate an $8 for each person to help feed the animals and keep this beautiful place going :-)
