Post offices are always hit or miss. Even the same post office in the same day. I guess it all depends on the employee that's helping you, but my experience here has always been someone that is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and able to move a line quick enough that I'm never waiting super long for what I need. The place is kept clean and parking is easy. Nothing really to complain about And I'm glad this is my nearest post office compared to some other options.
This Post Office is likely the worst in the state of PA. During posted business hours this place closes randomly, not for emergencies, weather, but for lunch breaks. This happened again today, and I've included photo proof. This was taken at 2:25pm Wed March 28, 2018. How does one pick up a package when you close at random for lunch? On many occasions packages that require pickup are never available on the slip ready-for-pickup date. Customer service's answer to this is "come back tomorrow". Returning the next business day the same issue is presented, my mail is not ready for pickup, "come back tomorrow". There is never an attempt to locate the parcel or be honest when it is expected to be ready for pickup. You just have to continue with stopping in and hoping your parcel is not lost in freight limbo and cross your fingers that pick-up-date slip is accurate.
The worst post office in the history of this country. Whoever is down there running the place needs to be out of a job. The whole staff is terrible and have no clue whatsoever. My package has not been delivered in over a week. And all im getting is the run around. How do any of these people still have jobs???? That is the question if all these people are complaining online. How?????
Mysteriously stopped delivering my mail--then refused to answer phone calls for weeks regarding the issue. I work 8-5 and don't have the time to go into their physical location, so it would be really great if these idiots would deem it worthwhile to pick up the phone. I've called down there approximately 100 times over the past 2 weeks and have not had the phone answered once. It's an embarrassment that this is representation of the Federal Government.
It starts with the former residents mail still arriving because their mail forward request was likely treated as optional to implement. Next you'll notice the mail somtimes gets delivered to the mailbox, sometimes they'll cut through your fenced in back yard and toss it on the patio and leave your gates wide open too. Then when you get home from your job and let your dog out it can nearly escape facts. The red flag up means I have out going mail but it's hit or miss as to if it will be taken out and back to post office. Their response is "we're only required to DELIVER your mail. We don't HAVE to pick it up " ... so I drop it off at their blue bin out front! So far that option is just about as consistant with failure too. Good work
This location does not zero out its weight scales. Letters that weigh 1.1 oz here, weigh 1 oz or less at other post office locations. It may sound trivial, but it is enough for several letters to be returned and new stamps to be used, not to mention my mail arriving late. These same type of bills and letters from other locations were never returned. If they are going to be this picky or tricky I will just switch to online bill pay like everyone else. When I went in and complained, not only did they refuse to re-weigh it, they were as rude as the other people in these reviews have mentioned over a long time. It is obvious that they just don't care and that since the post office is a not a government service anymore and has competition they might just have to be nice and fair.
Irresponsible deliveries! Two days ago a package was delivered open. It's all content inside was missing. Scaned and delivered empty package by USPS worker like if delivery was successfully completed. The First Class postages are not insured and none responsiblity for that particular service from USPS. Yesterday was delivered postage scotch all over covering holes in the package with broken in half a new seat post for bicycle made of carbon! Wow! People who working for the USPS are strong! They can broke anything shiped even things made of carbon! Please check pictures. I spoke with an USPS Supervisor regarding my lately troubles in deliveries. But as mentioned the First Class service has no even a subject for accepting complaints about damages done by the USPS. USPS Consumer Affairs office employees in Pittsburgh also don't care about uninsured postal services and about First Class service delivery problems. The USPS don't care if their employees created problems for customers on purpose. Be advised.
The postman that delivers my mail for some reason feels the needs to push around the furniture on my porch. The chair and table do not block him from getting to my mailbox in any way, he's just too lazy to walk up one side of the stairs and down the other so he pushes the chair and table out of his way every day causing what's on the table to fall off. I'm sick of it!
They never answer the phone. I give them mail back from those who don't live, I write on all the envelopes does not live here and they redeliver the same mail that states they don't live here. This has been going on for the last 6 months I lived here. Carriers are inconsistent with their deliverys, some at 11,2 and 5. Some mail has dates more than 2 weeks old as post marked. It takes mail from California to pittsburgh 3 days but, mail from downtown pittsburgh , East liberty , forest hills , etc... Local mail takes forever to get to us here. Pitts street and my surounding areas are having the same issues on a daily bases.
Wow didn’t know post office locations could be rated but good lord is this location small, slow, understaffed, outdated, and in obvious disrepair! Has anything at this location been fixed, repaired, cleaned or updated since it 1st opened? Reminds me of grand-paps garages d not at all in a good way. Better off going to a different USPS Location if and when possible
