Bill has served as lead counsel in many muti-million dollar cases involving issues as diverse as medical malpractice, air-crashes, product liability, commercial transactions and real estate.
Our more than twenty years of experience handling serious personal injury matters includes the trial and litigation of catastrophic wrongful death, medical malpractice, product liability, air-crash and airline disasters, nursing home abuse and automobile negligence cases. We also have extensive experience in commercial and insurance bad faith litigation.
We have successfully represented plaintiffs in obtaining significant recoveries for losses, harms and injuries against Ford Motor Company, US Airways, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA, then Columbia), Humana, State and Federal Hospital Systems, almost every general lines insurance carrier and others in a wide variety of circumstances.
We handle cases in and out of the State of Florida. Mr. Thompson is licensed in Georgia and has been admitted pro hac vice to practice in multiple other jurisdictions. Our local office is in Ft. Myers and we have successfully represented clients throughout Florida in the following counties: Lee, Collier, Glades, Charlotte, Hendry, Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, Sarasota, Hillsborough, Leon, Hardee, Hernando, Polk and Union.
He has been a member of the following professional organizations: The Broward County Bar Association, the Lee County Bar Association, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the National Head Injury Foundation, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and the American Trial Lawyers Academy.
