My mom and I first discovered William Travis Jewelry in 2005. His store was amazing. I picked out an amber necklace. A timeless piece that I still love to wear. I knew then that he would someday make my wedding ring. Fast forward quite a few years later, I have received the most beautiful engagement ring I could have imagined. The ring is wonderful reflection of my relationship. It is so unique, absolutely perfect. We met with Travis and Marika to design the ring. All I knew going in was that I wanted something special with a little bit of blue. Somehow from that, they walked us through the process and designed exactly what I wanted! For anyone considering a custom wedding ring, I can't recommend William Travis Jewelry enough. Travis is also very respectful of your budget or so I've been told by my fiancé. My custom ring is absolutely perfect. I am so happy to have a one-of-a-kind ring. I cannot recommend William Travis enough. And aside from my engagement ring. His shop is just amazing. If nothing else, just walk through to enjoy the experience. Having lived in Europe as a child, his pieces remind me of a modern museum. He uses such a wide collection of metals and stones; I cannot justly describe the beauty. Thank you so much Travis!
Travis was amazing! I went in today with my girlfriend's bent ring she had asked me to fix. I wasn't confident that I would be able to do it myself without breaking it due to it having a shell on it so I brought it on in to his shop to take a look at. There was already another customer there being helped, so Travis himself came out to help me and inquire about my needs so I showed him what I had. He assured me that he would try his best to restore it with the utmost care. Voila! He was able to restore its form and even polished and shined the ring for me. I offered to pay but he wouldn't let me. You just kind find service like this anymore!
Excellent customer service and quality Jewlery. Helped to design an engagement ring with a very quick turn around time. The ring was designed beautifully and very well made. Marika met with us a few times and was always very helpful and available for questions. Owner was friendly as well, he walked out to introduce himself. Also had a number of pieces appraised. Will be back to have wedding bands and other pieces designed by them. We live about 45 minutes away but well worth the drive
Jewelry store is VERY GOOD i got a ring for my grandma before she died.. she loved it she loved that red blue ring. William Travis was very comforting to her even when we were just looking, William Travis and his jewelry store will be forever in our hearts..
I have several pieces from WTJ and each is more uniquely beautiful than the last. Travis is a creative mastermind, and the very best at what he does. You won't find better quality or service anywhere. I highly recommend William Travis Jewelry!!!!
If you choose to do business here, make sure that you get ALL agreements in writing. When I had William Travis rebuild my wife's rings, I was promised that servicing the rings tightening stones, etc. would be free. Apparently the owner does not remember that conversation. I should have had him put his words in writing. BUYER BEWARE. ASSUME YOU ARE BUYING "AS-IS" ULESS OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING. My issue is not a product quality issue, it's an honesty issue. If you're buying jewelry in Chapel Hill, go to Wentworth & Sloan instead. They are in the same mall and they are honest.
This Jewlery store is very open and shares the process of the Jewlery creation to bring to the consumers attention their focus on ethical Jewlery. I came in for a necklace to match my eyes for a special dance hosted in my honour and found the best bluest eyes in Texas piece and wore it feeling so confident and good looking! Thank you again for the great necklace
William Travis designed my engagement ring and our wedding bands...and we just love them! We came with a stone from my grandmother that we wanted to showcase, and a slight idea of the style we were looking for. He worked with us to come up with a design that felt right from the start, and that he and later staff seemed so excited about! I appreciated how he really listened to us but also was comfortable with giving his expert opinion. The rings turned out perfect! Totally us, incredibly unique, perfectly matching because all the rings were cast together, and just all-around gorgeous!
I had a watch looked at and was charged $30 for a new battery. The watch continued to malfunction. On a return visit, I was offered to have the watch shipped out to be looked at for a possible other problem which was going to cost more than the watch was worth. So, I took the watch to another jeweler, asking them to check the watch and saying it had just had a new battery installed-and could they find out what else might be wrong. The response was it needed a new battery! This new battery cost only $16 and the watch is working fine now. Apparently, William Travis jewelers didn’t replace the battery or gave me a faulty one. I feel I didn’t get good service and was overcharged to boot.
This is a wonderful local jeweler shop staffed with cheerful, knowledgeable staff who bend over backwards to be helpful. I’ve brought them favorite pieces for repair, appraisals for insurance, shopped for gifts and have they’ve exceeded my expectations at every turn. Plus, they have the a huge range of truly lovely designs to choose from. Everything from modern pieces to gorgeous classics. I’m a fan!
