After my experience with management here, W&S have lost a repeat customer. My $300 pan arrived scratched and stained, maybe the floor model or a previous online return, but I am bicoastal and opened the package far past the return deadline. When I was in the store, I mentioned the wrecked pan to a manager and he told me to bring in the pan and they would be able to replace it because that definitely should not have happened. When I brought it in, I told the manager that I had used it in a pinch though all the damage came before, and the same manager suddenly refused to replace the pan because I had “used it." So for my honesty he retracted his offer to replace the damaged item. Management never have told me to come back to the store with the pan if they were not going to uphold their customer service.
I really loved this store! They have some exclusive objects to buy.
A nice store with lots of nice elegant kitchen stuff
I really love this place. My family and I have shopped here for decades, everything we need from beautiful dishware, pots & pans, silverware cutlery, cutting boards to chandeliers, also great bedding department with some furniture upstairs. Always excellent quality. I bought a WMF can opener here years ago that has lasted more than over 15 years also upgrading our espresso maker with a beautiful Saeco Gran Baristo Avanti with bluetooth settings. I will always shop here for household items that we need for our Manhattan apartment. Money is no object when it comes to this place. Also not to mention the staff is very nice and professional.
Well organized store. I went to buy an all purpose pan as a gift. One salesperson was unfriendly and short with me but another was super helpful and kind. Try different people if you don’t get a good person straightaway. Hot chocolate samples were yummy.
I love William-Sonoma but the customer service in this one is absolutely awful. Took me 20 minutes to flag someone for a question only to be mocked for requesting a Le Creuset color not available in their stores.
Everything was great until checkout. Made the huge mistake of getting my gift gift-wrapped here. The item came back wrapped nicely but no one helps you check out and you have to prove, yet again, you purchased the item even though they take your claim receipt. 12 associates standing around the register and not one person helps you bag it or helps you out the door. Dropped nearly $700 here, and I really just did not appreciate the checkout. Maybe just order online or go to another location.
I love cooking myself. People work here are really helpful with picking things for me.
My favourite cooking supplies store.
Poor customer service! I ordered a le creuset dutch oven for my sister, she didn’t like it and I returned to the store. Couple months later I realized, I never got my money refunded to my credit card. I was honestly fortunate to find out because I never double check those things. I went back to the store and an older lady who’s name was Susan instead of apologizing for the mistake, she gave me a speech of how I needed to check my receipt like it was my fault that the transaction was handled incorrectly. I guess this company decides to put your money back in a gift card instead of the original method of payment without even asking you. Her tone was inappropriate, like a rough mom yelling at you and blaming for something you didn’t even do wrong. Horrible experience with an unprofessional sales associates. The worse thing is that I believe she has part of the manager team. What a disaster! By the way, a gift card was never given or sent to my email, so if I didn’t double check my credit card transactions, this company was going to keep my money without even me knowing.
