I have been a devoted fan of William Sonoma for 20+ years. They have been a go-to for classic gift purchases for weddings, showers, and birthdays. Sadly, I will no longer be gifting from WS. In October I purchased a Le Creuset braiser for my son and DIL from the WS store in Roseville, CA. Because they did not have the color I needed, I placed an order for the braiser to be mailed to their home. I was assured by the salesperson that there would be no problem if they needed to exchange the braiser for a different item. The braiser arrived just before Thanksgiving and my son and DIL decided that they wanted to exchange for a different size. They took the braiser into the same store where I ordered and were told that they couldn’t exchange but would be issued an e-gift card and could return to the store for the item they wanted to purchase. It is now December 4th and they have not received the e-gift card. I have made 4 phone calls to customer service and this problem has not been resolved. As much as it pains me to say it, NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE WILLIAM SONOMA FOR GIFTING.
I do not recommend buying online! Very poor customer service. It took dozens of unanswered emails, many phone calls and 5 months to finally receive a return label for a damaged product. I still haven’t received the replacement in November and my original purchase was June!
I stopped in to check out an item in person but they didn’t have the color I wanted in stock. Avery was super helpful in getting that ordered for me. All the employees at this location are always pleasant and super helpful!
Lots of pretty pictures, and fluf ...but could not find a Search or even a product category to get started in ?? Not gona shop at W S.
I did not realize that an item from my order had been back ordered. Mind you, this was a set. My order was placed on 2-28-2022. If I had caught that one of the items was not coming until April, I would have cancelled it. When I reviewed the order, it said the additional item was coming April 4th or 5th when actually I received it on April 16th! 6 weeks after I placed the order! That present was taken to someone as a gift over 4 weeks ago! It does me no good now. I'm now being told they won't take it back nor refund me the money. Unbelieveable. They should contact their customers when I item is coming 6 weeks late to see if they would still like it or not. In addition, my brother said the spice rubs were terrible. Don't order from this company!
The stuff here I want is too expensive and the other stuff I want they don't have. I'm not sure I've spent more time in any store just window shopping trying to find something I like enough to warrant the cost.
Knowledgeable and great staff. Don't know a thing about cookware but the staff helped me pinpoint a brand new cookware set for the wife. And she LOVES it!
My wife and I have purchased from this store before and agree that there overly watchful eyes and surveillance of us and the others in store is not the place for us. They have great product and priced according but the fact you can't shop without being greeted and offered assistance 4 times in 20 min is unacceptable to us. So my review of store is Great Product, reasonable price, overly cautious staff.
Very disappointed with online ordering and customer service. Ordered a pizza oven on 12/1/20 it was a gift for Christmas. The delivery was pushed back twice then I tracked it in January and it said order cancelled. If I had not tracked it I’d never have known. My card was charged so I called to get info and it said my bank did not allow the charge but that was false. I replaced the order and now it’s not arriving until 2/23/21 but it still says cancelled online. Will never do business with William Sonoma again.
I was able to get a nice last minute gift for a friend here! The staff was helpful and eager to try and find a great birthday gift.
