Williamsburg Winery - Cafe Provencal

The food was excellent. Our server, Craig was phenomenal. The very fresh and seasonal ingredients absolutely make the food that much of a higher quality. My compliments to the chef and staff for such a wonderful experience.

My boyfriend and I were staying the night at the Wedmore Place and decided to have dinner in the restaurant inside the Inn. We are so happy we did. The restaurant had an intimate atmosphere with excellent service and food. The scallops were the hit of the evening. We will be back!

Husband and I visited about 4 months ago and loved it! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food is untouchable. Service was also outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine that was not ready so they gave us a glass of champagne on the house! We had the fried oyster appetizer and it was delicious. I got the steak rare and it was cooked to perfection. It is rare that my husband goes to a nice restaurant and does not order steak, but he decided to go with a fish dish that was served in a broth forgive me for not remembering more detail, it was awhile ago. It's even more rare that my husband decides not to order a steak and DOESN'T regret it - but he was obsessed with this dish. It's a but pricey, but we knew that going in. Will visit again.

Such an amazing place. The food was delicious. My husband loved the wines he selected and the food was outstanding. Great ambiance, food presentation and service.

We went here for our anniversary and the staff and food was in par. It's pricey but worth every bite. It's on the property of the Williamsburg Winery and you can actually do a wine tour and eat at this restaurant as a package deal. I had a great time and the food was extremely fancy from the starter to the dessert. Definitely a perfect spot for a date.

My experience having dinner here was otherworldly good. We were treated beautifully and I felt so cared for. Since this was a special event for me, this is not my usual style of dining, I decided to try the spring lamb chops. I had never experienced them before. Tremendous. We enjoyed the wine that was suggested and the dessert was extraordinary.

Came in for our ten year anniversary and left debating whether that was the worst meal we had eaten during our marriage. My husband ordered the clam appetizer and the broth had a strange chemical taste, which was unpalatable. I ordered another appetizer which ruined my ability to enjoy my entree. The entrees were adequate but not on par with the price tag. Our waitress was nice, but that was one of the only redeeming qualities of the meal. Very disappointed based on the price and quality of the experience.

Amazing cuisine and service! We stayed at Wedmore Place for a few days and dined at Cafe Provencal and the tavern for every meal. Both were so awesome we didn't even think about dining anywhere else. The service is personable and professional without being stuffy. The staff was attentive and seemed to always anticipate our needs and desires. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely fantastic! Delicious food, both to the eye and palate. The saying that you eat with your eyes has most definitely been taken seriously by this chef. Wine selection is unparalleled. Service was impeccable, very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Amazing looking place too, I’m from England originally and I was convinced the place was an old colonial building until one of the staff shared with our dinner guests it was only 12 years old. If you are ever in this area and looking for a dinner destination you would be very hard pressed to find a better place than this. If I could give this more stars I most certainly would.
