"Prevention of fire if possible ~ Protection of life and property, without question" We are a proud group of well-trained men and women protecting the Williamson Fire District from the devastating effects of fire. The Williamson Fire Company Number One was formed on April 29, 1889, we are 100% volunteer and have been in continuous service to the Williamson community ever since. We are located in upstate New York 22 miles east of the City of Rochester, four miles from the south shore of Lake Ontario. We protect half of the Town of Williamson; our coverage area is 17 square miles with a population of 3,850 people. We provide fire prevention, general firefighting and vehicle extrication services. We maintain a firefighting crew of about 50 volunteers with a fleet of 5 vehicles. If you are interested in joining us, stop in to the station on any Monday evening between 6:30 and 9:30 pm. and we will be glad to walk you through the station and talk with you about our requirements for membership.
