We recently moved our kids to Wasatch Pediatrics and couldn't be happier. The office is very clean and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and nice. They make you feel right at home. Most importantly, they are timely. At our previous pediatrician the healthcare provider could be running anywhere from a half hour to hour late. We have yet to experience this with Wasatch Pediatrics. We see Dr. Chamberlain and are grateful for her proactive nature. We took our daughter in to have a pimple examined and she submitted a lab test to make sure it wasn't anything serious. The test came back positive for staph. Thanks to her being one step ahead we were already doing the right thing for getting our daughter well. We would strongly recommend this place to any family looking for a health care provider for their children.
After leaving a previous pediatrician, we began seeing Dr O Mara for our child’s care. The staff here is excellent and we always feel well cared for especially sick visits!. They are caring and gentle with children during exams and vaccinations. Also very accommodating for the thousands of questions new parents have, we’ve never once felt rushed during an appointment.
My review is long overdue as we’ve been patients at Wasatch Pediatrics - Willow Creek for years now. Both of my children see Dr. Steinberg, and have since birth. They are both thriving. I’ve always appreciated Dr. Steinberg’s thoughtful and calm approach to medicine. My kids have been through the wringer since birth they’re both daycare kids and I have never walked away from an appointment with Dr. Steinberg or her staff feeling dissatisfied. Sometimes our course of action doesn’t seem to work or my child seems sicker the next day, so I follow up by calling the nurse who is always available to talk and we make a new plan. We hope Dr. Steinberg gets to be our pediatrician until we age out!
It is with regret that I write this review for the Wasatch Pediatric Clinic, Willow View location and Dr. Laura Steinburg and her staff specifically. On September 16th Dr. Steinburg saw my 7month old daughter for an upper respiratory infection.  The prescribed course of action was Benadryl to clear her airways and allow her to sleep better at night while she worked through the congestion. My daughter weighs 20 lbs and I was told to administer 3.75ml.  Dr. Steinburg then said, ”wait, is that correct?” thought for a moment and then reassured me that that was the correct dosage. I was then told that any form of liquid Benadryl would be safe for my child. Later That week, in preparation for bed I prepared the dosage of Benadryl prescribed for my daughter and then thought better of it based on Dr. Steinburg’s hesitation. I administered ½ of the dosage prescribed and put my daughter to bed. In the night I began to hear strange moaning noises coming from my 7 mo old daughter. When I went to her bedside she was moaning, shaking with a fever of 101* and her breathing was very shallow and rapid. Then on September 25th I notified Wasatch Pediatrics, I was told by the nurse that Dr. Steinburg would be calling me. I received no phone call or follow up from the office. October 2 – a week later I had still not received a phone call from Dr. Steinburg and was told by the office that the first nurse I had spoken to had not notified the doctor.  I was further assured that Dr. Steinburg would be calling me. Oct 3rd – Still no call from Dr. Steinburg of the office staff. Oct 4th – Still no call from Dr. Steinburg or Wasatch Pediatrics.  I have since spoken to several doctors who have stated emphatically that Benadryl should not be given to infants without respiratory monitoring as respiratory failure is common with this drug in infants. I am absolutely sickened by the lack of concern and caring shown for my infant daughter by Dr. Steinburg and her staff. While Dr. Steinburg has since called me back, one week after the initial call, I cannot in good conscience recommend this office and feel a need to warn others of the dangers of Benadryl in infants and this offices’ lack of care and concern in general.
Went in to get a physical exam by Dr. O'mera and she didn't fill out any of the information I needed her to. She was in and out so fast, leaving me no time to ask her any questions. She did not seem at all interested in my wellbeing, only that she wanted me out of there as fast as possible. I did not feel cared for. Do not recommend her as a practitioner. Other than that the front office ladies were very helpful and kind.
Took my daughter to Wasatch Pediatrics Willow Creek. We saw Dr. Kathleen O’mara. Our first initial visit went well. Downhill after that. No return calls had to track her down. No follow up on test results. Our daughter is suffering from migraines and she didn’t seem interested at all nor her team. Very displeased and disappointed. Dr. O’mara came highly recommended but maybe her book is a little full. Expected more! The most important thing was to have the results of a brain MRI read to us and after one week, no return calls, or emails on our daughter’s condition. Too busy to care?
I love this office. I’ve only had issues with one doctor, Dr.Lynch he assumes everything is viral and doesn’t offer anything besides some honey and a humidifier , although I can hear wheezing and he didn’t want to test my daughter for RSV because they haven’t had any cases come in. Michelle chamberlain is our primary doctor and she is always amazing and listens.
Dr. Steinberg is hands down one of the best doctors I have dealt with in the medical profession in a very long time. She is competent, calm, caring, doesn’t rush and actually LISTENS. This first baby experience has been a wild one and I absolutely have confidence that he is in excellent hands with her and as a parent my needs/concerns are being addressed and respected. If only I could give more stars, thank you kindly. ;
My daughter's both went to Willowcreek at ST. Marks. They were patients of Dr Cynthia Owens. She was awesome at first. Then the clinic became more popular and busy. We rarely saw her after they got popular. They failed on 4 office visits to diagnose my daughter's Diabetes. I got a call late after the 5th appointment for the same issue. They told me I had to immediately get my kid to primary children's hospital to stabilize her blood sugar. She stayed in the hospital for 4 days. The cost of the wasted office visits and hospital stay with take home meds bankrupted Us. They even had the nerve to call after I filed bankruptcy trying to collect. You would think the decent thing to do would be to forgive the debt. After all it was their failure's that turned into a financial disaster for my family.
After several routine visits during our daughter's first year, I’m confident to say that I’m thankful for the care our daughter has received at Wasatch Pediatric-Willow Creek, with Dr. O’Mara. We appreciate Dr. O’Mara’s knowledge and her approach to medicine. I really appreciate how she supplies us with facts and knowledge, then allows us/empowers us as parents to make informed decisions that work best for our family. We also like the cleanliness of the office, the short wait times, and Dr. O’Mara’s nurse who is always so happy and friendly.
