Willow Lake Recreation Area

2nd year here hosts were amazing 3 outta 4 days weather was perfect! Clean facilities with showers nice playground. This won't be our last visit!

It has electricity & water but no sewer or dump station. Most sites are next or close to the water. And no wifi.. They have great showers/bathroom too!

Finally made it out here to check this place out and kayak. There isn't great signage, but the lot right when you enter is the only spot where you can get into the lake unless you have a camping spot. There is also a grassy walking trail here we did not go on, but it appears to go around the entire lake. As we drove through the campground, seemed pretty packed with lots of people and not a lot of breathing room/space to yourself...a lot of folks had dogs, most dogs were well mannered and just sitting watching everything, but some were reactive and non stop barking...just from the drive thru I would not recommend camping here. However, there are cabins that definitely seem worthwhile and away from the camping madness. I would be inclined to stay in one closer to the fall and during the week when it would be calmer and quieter. There is also a swimming area that was pretty packed with people on both the sand and in the water. Didn't really look like fun to me, but I'm not big into swimming to begin with. Once we got our kayaks in the water it was an alright experience. There isn't much litter which was really nice we pick up any trash we can safely reach from our kayaks there is a lot of cut trees, though. So be careful and alert when going over them so you don't tip. Most were cut low enough but a few took us by surprise. The lake isn't that big and not many shady areas or off shoots to venture in, but at least we can say we've been to it! Overall, I'd say go to check it out for yourself. Personally, I'm probably not going to be back here unless we rent a peaceful cabin closer to off season. Dog-friendliness: Leashed & well mannered dogs allowed - pick up after them.

This was my first time visiting this location for bass fishing, and it was a pleasure. While the lake isn’t very large, it includes plenty of parking space, a mini beach/swimming area, and clean campgrounds. The parking for the campgrounds did seem a little clustered with for trucks with trailers or RV’s. However, I’m not sure that they have much room for expansion. In conclusion, I will definitely be returning for future fishing trips, as well as, looking into camping for the weekend.

Great place to Camp,fish,walk trails,see lots of wildlife.willow lake campground has plenty to offer for the entire family. recreation areas,camping,trails,fishing,docks,kayaking,swimming area with beach..fire wood for sale on site ..all around a great place including the cabins and fire pits !!! Very clean place

Great little park, smaller lake, electric motor is the biggest you can run. The sites are nice with a decent amount of room on the sides. Some have good shade or right on the lake, levels seems mostly OK. A newer site area a little further in still has some maturing to do with its trees but does offer the most modern bathhouse along with a handicapped site right next to the bathhouse/bathrooms. A few fishing jetties/docks along the shore and a swimming area with a sand beach. Cell signal is hit or miss but works for text and basic data; I was getting alerts for heat and possible storms while there.

A hidden gem for local camping, hiking and fishing. Absolutely well kept--park staff are friendly and hard workers! The cabins are beautifully located by the lake and are a fantastic place to rent for a getaway from suburbia with your friends or family. Super clean and safe. Fun summer events too like movies and star gazing.

Beautiful area! PERFECT beach for swimming

This is a great little no-wake lake the swimming hole is maybe five and a half ft deep at its deepest I think the only thing I don't like about it is that there's no shape from the Sun anywhere on they're little Beach

Fishing is good. Camping spots are kind of close to each other but very nice lake! Restrooms: Clean! Picnic area: Clean!
