"Willowrun Veterinary Hospital is here to treat the dogs, and cats of Smithfield, North Carolina, and stands as Johnston County's oldest veterinary hospital. We are also one of the longest-accredited American Animal Hospital Association facilities in the country, a badge we wear proudly. From wellness exams, sick visits, acupuncture, and laser therapy to dentistry and general and advanced surgery, our veterinarians are here six days a week to provide comprehensive medical care. We look forward to meeting you and your pet!"

Dr. Smith was the best.  He was very compassionate and I didn't feel rushed through our visit. I feel like he not only heard my concerns but really listened.  And mostly, he didn't attempt to push  crazy extras off on us that our dog didn't need. He didn't rattle off all his book knowledge from Vet school as the younger ones have a way of doing. Very personable, simple and down to earth!  The assistant was awesome as well. Highly recommend this place for your furry loved ones!!!!

Took my dog Kobe here to check out a lump I found on his lower rib cage, test results came back quick as ever and it was nothing to worry about thank goodness! Loved that they have in house testing for his situation. It was our first time here and I’m so thrilled with the care we have received, from calling to set his appointment with the receptionist to the tech Alysia and Dr. Ellis. I loved how our tech Alysia and Dr. Ellis took the time to sit and answer all my questions and any concerns I had with Kobe and also my other dog Yuki who wasn’t even there at the moment, but she will also be a new patient as well in the near future! They made me feel at ease and really showed they genuinely cared about Kobe just by interacting with him and making him feel happy and comfortable. Kobe can be a bit timid at first around new people, but by the end of our visit he seemed to really like Dr. Ellis. The lobby area was super clean and very welcoming as well as the staff. They even have windows in the room we were taken in to! Extra bonus just because Kobe loved looking out the window!!! Also, a few days after our appointment, they followed up with a phone call to ask how Kobe was feeling, and as a pet owner I really appreciate that level of care and it doesn’t go unnoticed!  Thanks for the awesome care we’ve received, Kobe and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Willowrun Veterinary Hospital! So happy we found you guys!

Awesome clinic, so helpful. In NC for vacation and our pup had and emergency, they got us in right away and helped our Clover with her recovery. Worked with our vet in PA for continued care when we got home. Thank to the entire staff you are absolutely the best!

Jacob Hammond is the reason we come here! He is fantastic with our German shepherds. We spoke about all the options and let me have have emotion when it was time for our dog to go to rainbow bridge. Not sure why a note is needed but the computer said I’m very talkative. Not a fan of that! I’m very friendly so I guess that comes off as talkative. Kinda makes me not what to go back but again Dr. Hammond is amazing so I will deal with feeling judged to see him. The receptionist over the phone seemed very aggravated that I don’t do routine visits. I personally haven’t been to a doctor in 10 years so my dogs go by the same. Several employees are very nice so don’t judge any one bad experience. It’s a good place to bring your pet.

Love having a AAHA vet so close to home, and they take military ID!! Plus the prices are great!  I have a fear reactive dog and the staff was so patient with her. My other dog loved all the attention the staff gave her.  Clean facility, lots of room, ample parking, great availability for appointments, friendly staff, plus white sound and calming pheromones for your dogs.

We just had our first visit with Dr. Ellis for our newly rescued dog, Sammy, who happens to be pregnant. Dr. Ellis and Kelly were both very informative and answered all my questions about the birthing process. Their bedside manner was top notch and the office was extremely clean. Front desk interactions were also very friendly. We will be transferring our senior black lab here when he is due for his next visit. Thanks so much guys!

Greta clinic! Staff is very professional, patient, and answered all of my questions about my sweet pup. Will for sure be back as needed! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great vet!

Have been going here for the past 3 years and have never once had a bad visit. The staff is understanding, they truly care for the animals. I’ve never felt rushed during an appointment, and if there was a delay they let you know instead of like other places and just let you wait, with no explanation. Highly recommended!

We are so glad we selected Willowrun for our little Sami. We found it easy to make an appointment and the staff  were all so friendly and helpful.  Dr. Hammond was professional yet easy to talk to. We are very pleased with Willowrun.
