Played for da first time at Harding. Had a ton of fun. The track was interesting and I liked the layout and the shots that were required to play. Great testof golf. I will be back to truly out Wilson next time.
Fun and challenging course. Staff are friendly and helpful. Course stays pretty much on time, and about a normal 5 hour round. Greens are pretty good, fairways a little dry in places. Bunkers in good shape with plenty of sand. Have a nice bar for the 19th hole. The only drawback, they don't supply ice for their coolers. You have to purchase ice, and if you need to refill at the turn, you have to purchase a drink to get any ice. Tough during summer, and only reason for 4 stars.
Me and my girlfriend went to golf here 2 days ago. When we arrive the elderly white man at the counter told us it was too expensive for us, and said we need go somewhere else. We said kindly asked him not to assume we cannot afford the 60$ fee. Some of the other customers who had witnessed the unacceptable treatment spoke up and told him to stop harassing us.. He proceeded to shout at them, warning that he wouldn't rent out to them if they didn't keep quiet. While in line I assume something was off because when i smile at him he said I better smile. While I do not want to accuse him of microaggressions or racism, it was completely evident that was the case. Feeling insulted and uncomfortable by this clearly outdated racism, I noticed the white men behind us all spoke out about his behavior as well. Having the audacity to think I can be accommodating by such poor racial treatment I decided to make complaint to manager Paul Nason and to To my surprise, he told us that he was actually doing us a favor by renting us clubs after 4 PM. When we said it was too expensive, he suggested that we weren't going to be able to play long anyway and that we were wasting our money.. I asked him to explain the comment “ Do I even know how to golf” and Paul excuse his comments by saying you girls obviously new because more people want to play more holes and stay longer. Paul said he knows his character and he was being a grandpa to us. Paul obviously defended his prejudice and did nothing to try and make our experience better. Other than him, all the other staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We will try to contact corporate.
Both golf courses are very well managed and play nicely with slick greens. It was a very crowded course, but considering the sheer number of people playing, it moves pretty well. Greens are in good condition and I would highly recommend this course.
Beautiful place. Cold beer was perfect with excellent service.
Wilson and Harding belong to my top 3 courses in the LA group. Fairways and greens mostly in great condition. It is a public course and for the money you pay, well worth it. Usually do twilight and I walk and carry for the exercise. There’s long holes and challenging par 3s as well.
My first time playing here. 18 hole walking. Big mistake: . Should have gotten a cart. But I enjoyed playing here. Well maintained grass, great staff.
They’ve really let this place go. The LA City Dept of Rec and Parks puts very little money into maintaining these courses, though they charge a premium to play there compared to other courses which are in superior condition. Many tee boxes are covered in crawling weeds and left to grow over. Fairways are OK for a Muni, but this place needs some major TLC. The greens are extremely bumpy, slow, and full of ball marks because nobody cares to repair them, and there’s no Marshall to enforce anything. Bunkers have little to no sand in them, and many of them don’t even have rakes, so people don’t rake them, which means they are full of foot prints. This could be a great golf course of the city of LA would just take care of it, however they don’t. It’s a shame they don’t have better management.
Good golf course. There's carts and putting courses. Just don't let the coyotes come in please, they're dangerous.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
They don’t know how to process credit card machine. Always make mistakes. Carts are always out of battery. Called three times and never show up to replace the cart. Not professional in overall.
