Not from here and my friend took me here. I had a great experience. Right up front the admissions lady was so friendly. She was up front with us and told us what they did and did not have available for picking. She also told us on our side of the creek was free, and if we wanted to cross the creek it was 5 bucks and 8 for tractor admission. There is lots to do on the first side of the creek. Got some great photos. The apple cider donuts, hard apple cider and the pizza was wonderful. And last minute we decided to do the tractor ride. It was the longest tractor ride ive been on. Totally worth the cost. And it was so fun and the man who drives the tractor is so nice and funny
I've been going to Wilson's Apple Orchard for many years as a family tradition. It is a great place for kids of all ages. As with all farming, the apple picking quality is dependent on how the season has been and when you go in the fall different apples are ripe at different times. They have a store where you can buy delicious pre-picked apples along with a bunch of other items. Most importantly, be sure to try their apple donuts and apple slashes!
Fall is here, also Christmas is here. Apple cider, apple turnovers, and apple cider doughnuts are amazing and fresh. Beautiful atmosphere is plus.
Lovely place to spend a day with family. You can buy a bucket and go for plucking apples. Nestled in a very green wooded place. Lot of parking space. There is a souvenir shop and a little cafe. Parking is free.
Beautiful orchard, store, and resturant. Great place for kids, with activities, u-pick berries, flowers, and apples. However, accessibility is non-existant. After talking with the staff, they assured me that there was no was to get my 9 year old, wheelchair bound daughter, to any of the activities.
Great place to visit in the fall!! They did start charging a bit more recently…admission to the apple orchard is now $5 previously free and you don’t get quite as many you-pick apples for the same price. They also charge a good amount for picking wildflowers $20-30, but the experience is fantastic! The store has a great selection of merchandise, honey, sweet butters, and cider, but is quite busy, so be ready to wait in line! Make sure to get a fresh bakery item - the donuts are a big hit - and a cider when you’re visiting and enjoy some live music!
It's a nice site and the staff is generally kind. No complaints with respect to the cashiers/helpers or the scenery at all. Unfortunately they have started charging for entrance, but only to the actual 'orchard' that contains the trees - so, charging money for the privilege of paying more money for apples. There is little indication given on the website, and that's the main reason I'm writing this - so that people can find out easier. Online the $5 charge is briefly mentioned in plain text on an event page several clicks in - if you already know about it you can perhaps find it after the fact. I read the replies from the company on other reviews. I get that many other spots charge, and you have a right to do something about waste/shrink and remain profitable. There's distinctions to make though and people do have a point that isn't addressed. Those other competitors that charge money for admission clearly state it on the home page, and they have various things or activities that are included in the price. The fee-only area here only as far as I know contains what we already pay you to do.. picking apples. I get it if prices need to go up, I'm saying the execution of it is just strange. Don't get me wrong, the site itself is nice and I liked my visit last year - I got a basket of delicious apples then - but the above is why people feel the need to leave a review to inform others. I'll just stick to another orchard that will only charge me once to pick my apples. Needing to increase prices right now is completely understood and I wouldn't be put off by that - it's this weird execution that leaves behind a sour taste.
Great place to visit. You pick apples and berries. Really nice. Great for families.
Such a beautiful place! Especially this time of year! There's a super cute market store where you can buy lots of goods and goodies! We had apple cider donuts and hot apple cider that were to die for! There's cute picnic tables outside the market to relax and enjoy your treats. We didn't get to experience it, but they have live music occasionally and there's also a restaurant, a cidery, and a smokehouse that I hope to try soon!
Ok, so the donuts are the best thing. There was an admission to go and pick raspberries. The orchard to pick apples was not available. So the admission was to pick raspberries and then also pay for the raspberries. This was a pricey trip but none the less a great experience. I guess I am so used to going to my family farm and just picking the things, charging an additional admission when you are not offering much, which seems silly. It is like charging an admission to get into a store and then to purchase things? The lands are great, though. Probably will not return, but will buy the donuts and cider locally where you can actually buy them for a penny less, not make the drive and not be charged admission
