After experiencing acute back pain for two consecutive days, I went to urgent care and was seen by Jiliane Sutherlin, NP. She is possibly the most unprofessional and unfit healthcare provider I have ever been treated by. It was clear from the beginning that she didn’t believe anything I was saying. She constantly interrupted me and made efforts to twist my words acting as though I’d contradicted myself. She was also far more interested in when the last time I had taken a shower was and making open comments about my hair than in trying to care for and understand the cause of my pain. When I told her I was not able to remove my tshirt because of the amount of pain I was experiencing, she stated that was not acceptable and suddenly began taking it off herself while I was speaking against my explicit nonconsent. She did the bare minimum of testing, gave me an IM pain reliever, and shipped me out with no aftercare for pain management. An hour later she called to say that test results came back and I had to go to the ED for a cat scan where I then waited four hours to be brought in because to my surprise no consult was ordered which—protocol or not—was in no way explained to me and met with complete dismissal when I called her to ask. There is more, but I think the point has been made. I’m leaving 2 stars rather than 1 because I had no issues with other staff, many of whom were very nice. Regardless, I will likely never return to this facility in the hopes that I never cross paths with this particular provider ever again.
I have blood pressure issues are on my chart. I went into this urgent care to get the 2nd of 3 vaccines for rabies. Already having been there once before. Actually had the same triage nurse check me in that was extremely sarcastic and patronizing this time. She asked me why I was there? I said don't you have the records on your system? She said no I don't. I said I was here on Tuesday. I just got checked in and paid copay? I had to tell her, need my 2nd dose vaccination? She sarcastically said and very patronizing said, now that wasn't so hard now was it? I told her that was sarcastic and uncalled for. She then said now you're being sarcastic which made no sense. Really? Isn't this suppose to be place to help and not be patronized and get upset? The vital stats nurse took my blood pressure and it was through the roof. First do no harm Tracie obsviously knew nothing of that. She just couldn't be human enough to help me. Totally unacceptable. I have to go back again for one more shot as well. I'm reporting her to the hospital. She made me walk away very upset, my blood pressure thru the roof, and she is suppose to help patients. If someone can see this from the facility, as a result of her horrid behavior my blood pressure went thru roof, no apology, and i walked way very upset. Something is very wrong with the system.
I had dry cough so they tested me came out negative 2x and made an chest X-Ray, but WITHOUT any shields. There is same waiting for personnel, but once in the room, everything is quick. It costs me $120 out of pocket for the X-ray. Glad that the doc's visit was waived, but... I realized that even when doing bi-wings at a dentist office I have a protective apron. Don't they have just a small shield for 'my precious'? Do they assume it is not important, because I am almost 50?
I was very impressed with my trip to urgent care. I got there about an hour after they opened wasn’t too busy at the time. The RN Jenny and the PA Ellen were very friendly and professional. PA explained my diagnosis well and answered any questions I had.
The medical service provided was extremely poor. The physician failed to perform adequate medical tests for my wife when my wife was exhibiting clear signs of influenza. Dr. Katrina Good's reasoning was "we do not test for flu because we do not see many positive flu cases." However, this logic is completely faulty. Of course you would not see many cases if you are not testing for influenza! Dr. Good failed to communicate my wife's temperature, blood pressure, or any other basic vital signs during the visit and/or in the after visit summary. Dr. Good merely stated absurd statistics not supported by any sound medical journals. Dr. Good provided no medical assistance and merely sent my wife home to rest and provided NO medical treatment. No medications, alternative medical treatments, or other medical suggestions were provided beyond "stay home from work for 2 days." I would not recommend the urgent care center here as the physicians are not providing adequate medical assistance to their patients.
Came here to see my father who had been brought in by ambulance. The staff when we arrived has to be the rudest, least empathic staff I have ever come across in a hospital! Was greeted with a gruff “go over there” and then told because only one person could go into the room with my father, my mother was with me that I needed to “go wait outside”, again in a very rude and gruff manner. Awful treatment considering we were already concerned about my fathers condition. Thank goodness Boston has lots of other great hospitals to choose from.
The entire staff was very rude. My mother-in-law had a twisted ankle, so we went to get an X-ray. When we got to Winchester urgent care, I parked the car at the entrance, and helped her in. Apparently, we took the wrong entrance, and the nurse/receptionist could not have been more condescending and rude. Seeing my mother-in-law limping, all she said was “you took the wrong entrance, you need to go in the other way”. She didn’t even offer a wheelchair or any form or help. Then, the lady at the correct entrance was cold and acted like we were bothering her. I will not be coming back to this urgent care, and I would suggest you don’t come here either.
Took my 12 months old for possible arm injury. Personnel at the desk tried to put wrist band on the injured arm making my baby cry further who was just settling down. Triage personnel was not friendly, didn’t feel patient centered. My son was crying his lungs out and I was scared for him. The triage personnel literally just asked “what happened?” And tried to get a pulse ox on my crying baby for her assessment which was unsuccessful until I offered to help. That was the only verbal communication between us. I am not asking to be treated like a special being but as a nurse myself that’s not how I treat my patients. I listen to them and console them in time of need. I understand you might have had a busy day but that doesn’t mean me and my baby should receive less care. The whole thing felt very rushed. The only positive part was when in the imaging the personnel tried to distract my baby by giving him a toy and I appreciate that. For me that’s going a little extra mile. Discharge instructions were very vague. Didn’t really get my questions answered like when should I follow up and what red flags to look out for? I am just scared that something might have been missed because the whole thing felt rushed. I would appreciate if you would train your staffs to be a little more compassionate towards their patients. P.s I normally don’t give reviews but for this I had to.
Every time I have gone here over the last decade they have been awful. Of course there are some nice nurses along the way. They truly think their job is more important than your health. I’m waiting for results and instead of taking the time while already on the phone with me she took my information said she was too busy and hung up on me. This place has low stars for a reason.
Just went today because my ear was in pain and the whole process was delightful and I was in and out within 35 minutes. The checkin process was easy, they had my information since I had been to Winchester Hospital in the past. I saw Dr Good and she was friendly, knowledgeable and had me in and out quickly. I would definitely go back in the future!
