So glad we took the time to visit this walking mall! Historic sites around town and great vibe for all types! Water fountain to cool down in, seating along the mall, shade available, clean and architecturally interesting. The shops and restaurants are unique and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
Nice little shopping area in Winchester, we visited on a Saturday around 1PM. Street parking in the area is free on weekends, coin or pay by app at other times. A lot of history in the area and many restaurants to choose from. A lot of the store fronts were permanently closed or closed for the weekend. Splash pad was here for the little ones but very busy since it was sunny and hot. Really no shade of visiting during this time of day so it can get hot walking this strip.
Really a great place to visit, beautiful colonial buildings, charming in every way. Perfect for a walking tour of the historic sites. I didn't do any shopping but it looks like there are high-end stores for everybody.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Super enjoyable location for a stroll, and lots of eating options. Surrounding street parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a small water feature that kids can get wet in, and a nice mix of shade, sun and seating areas throughout.Visited onWeekendPrice for adult entryFree
Stopped and stayed for two days on our way back home to GA. What a nice surprise. We had a great time exploring the area. They had a festival called fifths and fiddles. Now this place is on our list to come back to.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
Many other historic cities and towns should follow their lead by closing off their Main Street. This City renovated their main drag making it a Pedestrian only zone. Not only does it look great, the street had a great selection of restaurants, breweries, and shops. Great walking city. When you wear yourself out, stop by one of the outdoor venue and enjoy the people watching.
I want to give it 5 stars but the groups of homeless and pan handlers harassing tourists and customers need to be removed from the area. There needs to be a permanent police presence there to keep the riff raff out. My wife and I were there for almost 5 hours and we didn't see one police officer. Meanwhile customers are being harassed like we were while eating outdoors at an absolutely amazing restaurant Awabi, we were harrassed while we ate by these roving groups of panhandlers and homeless. They chased away several tourists that were going to go there to eat. I get there is a homeless issue but you need to protect your businesses in your tourist areas. Keep the beggars out let them beg else where not where you are trying to bring in tourist dollars. I am adding a photo of the scumbags that harassed my family and I and others at Awabi. As you can see 2 were right next to the restaurant patio entrance the others roughly 12 are sitting on the planter box. They were hurling insults at customers and any passersby that refused to give them money or food. Awabi is an absolute gem, as is old town Winchester but you are letting the riff raff ruin what would have been a great experience for my family and for other tourists. They city needs to act.
Was amazing , my kids have a lot of fun was raining though but nothing can't stop us! Just 1 candy per store but was fun , not all of them though
I love walking Old Town. So many great shops. There's always music from local musicians. Amazon restaurants with outside seating. Plenty of historic buildings to admire. You will more than enjoy the main street but make sure you explore the side streets and the many stores on the outskirts.
Love to spend time on this walking mall. It is beautiful with lots of great restaurants and unique shops. It is especially beautiful at Christmas time.
