Windows on Water is a charming restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay. The service is good, and the restrooms are clean. However, when it comes to the food, it clearly does not live up to the price. I tried the scallops with mandarin, mushrooms, and fried bacon for the first time. It was certainly inventive, but I prefer my bacon cooked with eggs, and it was overpriced. I also had the halibut, which was overcooked and completely tasteless. The chef didn't use any spices, neither salt nor pepper. For $200 for two people, I expected more. Unfortunately, being a tourist spot, the restaurant doesn't seem to rely on the return of tourists.
Food was quite good. Fish was a touch overdone but that didn’t stop me from eating all of it haha Our server didn’t know a ton about the wine or the oysters but everything was enjoyable nonetheless! The mousse dessert was a definite highlight and we got the arrogate dessert as well. Delicious meal! Spent $200 on the halibut, 1/2 dozen oysters, pizza, a bottle of wine, dessert and two dessert martinis. We feel it was worth the price for sure! We would return here
Paul and his staff are incredible. We have dinned here many times & are always impressed by the incredible food, beautiful scenery & spectacular staff! This restaurant is a must visit when were near the area of Morro Bay! Vegetarian options: They have nice options for vegetarians! Kid-friendliness: My girls loved the kids menu!!! The pizza was so delicious, i found myself stealing a slice from each kid!!! It appeared to be fresh made from scratch!!! Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator that leads to the restaurant; the restraunt is on the upper deck.
We did a wedding here 4 years ago. Today we had an epic culinary experience. Amazing sunset view. Started with the Lobster bisque divine fresh baked bread, followed by the Stripped Sea bass truly out of this world finished with a refreshing Lemon mouse with fresh berries. Our host Jordan was delightful. If you have the opportunity to dine here don't miss it. Everything was spectacular!!! Compliments to the chef & staff.
First time in Morro Bay and would definitely recommend this place. Food is pricey but was worth the price. Our server, Jordan, was really friendly and caring. He made sure we were having a good time and that we were enjoying our food. One of the best servers I have had.
Always have had a great meal here! Staff are friendly and with the food, they make it well worth the price! Still keep coming here and enjoy each dish and there is a very good selection of wine.
Amazing dinner, the Rib Eye and Pork Chop were both incredible and cooked perfectly. Could not have asked for anything more!Food: 5/5
Great views. I had the ribeye, which was decent, but not amazing. It needed salt. Service was okay, but I'm fairly certain the waiter forgot about us. We waited 20 minutes after eating to get the check. For the price, I would not go back.
Waited so long to finally get to be in Morro Bay to eat at the Windows. The food was so Bland someone needs to learn to season their food. The wait staff made you feel like they were doing you a favor waiting on you. We love to find new restaurants love food was very disappointing. It was a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view.Food: 1/5
My favorite restaurant in Morro Bay. Amazing clam chowder. Always tastes so fresh. Has a touch of sherry. I visit every time I am in town. Oh their clam chowder is gluten free as well.
