I tend to pop in to random liquor stores in new areas I visit because you never know what you may find. Was able to pick up a bottle of Yamazaki 12 yr very reasonably priced. Excellent selection of liquors and local beer as well!
The manager, Chris, should really be ashamed of how she belittles and yells at employees. About a month ago, I came in to buy a very expensive bottle of whiskey and was treated like absolutely garbage by her. She made me verify my club card before she would even look to see if they had the bottle and then made me wait 45 minutes and didn’t even look in the back. They literally hoard all of the limited edition whiskeys in the back office and refuse to sell them to actual customers. I will never go back here again after she literally told staff members they were idiots and couldn’t do their jobs in front of customers
Great parking lot and selection
Great selection. Grabbed my Moscato for the beach house and was happy as can be! Although, my card kept getting declined in their machine and it worked perfectly fine. I had to sit on the phone with my bank.
Clean store with a great selection and the best prices on the Jersey Shore!
Very nice selection of wines. And the prices are reasonable. I found out that if you spend 10 to join the club you get an even bigger discount. So if you have one by you, it's worth it to jion.
This is my first review I've ever written. I'm not one to write reviews, but in this certain instance, I felt I really needed to. I've been going to this store for almost two years now. I don't go too much, but if I am in the area I will. For all of the times I've went, the majority of the workers are nice, except for one person. I found out by a worker that her name is Jean. Every single time that I've been in there and she has been working, I feel uncomfortable. She gives dirty looks, and just doesn't seem friendly at all.. I've literally never experienced such a miserable person in my life. I was there a few days ago and she rung me up and was nothing but sarcastic and nasty. I really don't think I'll be going in here anymore because of her. Someone needs to teach her customer service cause as far as I'm concerned, she has none.
I used to give this place 5 stars and go all the time. This was my go to place for wine when i would go to dinner in point pleasant. The selection was great and staff very friendly. Back in March i bought into their wine outlet card which allows me to taste test up to ten different wines they have in the store. Great concept and i was very excited about it. I personally asked the kid who had me signed up for the card that if i forgot my card would i still be able to taste the wines. He told me not a problem and they can just look me up in the system. Sounded like a great deal to me and would allow me to explore different types of wines. Last Thursday 7/21 my girlfriend and myself went in to purchase wine and also taste test some wines. I recently switched my wallet and forgot my card. The lady who greeted us at the door wasn't friendly and rubbed me the wrong way. When i explained to her i didn't have my card on me but would like to taste test the wines she was extremely rude and basically came off like i for one didn't own the card and two was just trying to get some free samples. Instead of trying to work with me she was just extremely rude to me and flat out nasty. I explained to her that the kid who signed me up said they can look my info up but this lady said in a very nasty way that she can't do that. Then out of the goodness of her heart she was like "you can try one wine", but didn't say this in a nice way. At that point she can take the wine and shove it. I told her that she was flat out rude and i would never be returning to this store to purchase wine again. I never write reviews about anything and i have told numerous people to come to this liquor store when they are in point pleasant. As of last Thursday i will make sure i give this place a bad name for as long as its in business. If you want to go to a great liquor store with a better selection than this place, head down the street a half mile to spirits unlimited. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great selection of wine. Loved the wine wall and VIP card however the wine expert on hand is only nice to you when she she’s in a good mood or if you’re fancy and carry your LV bag and dangle your Lexus keys. Just my impression. I’ve spoken to Management but nothing has changed. I do miss the wine wall
Great prices and great selection. I took off two stars because of my interactions with two workers. Interaction #1... When I ask for a wine that I enjoy, albeit a cheap wine, don't respond condescendingly, don't say "You don't want that one." Don't assume your customer doesn't know wine. Interaction #2... Rather than shadow me from a slight distance, maybe say "hello" or "may I help you." Don't stare at me with your hands on your hips like I'm a potential thief. When you treat your customers with distrust, they will resent it. I decided to give them my business anyway because they may be nice people who just need some lessons in customer service. I won't be afraid to lower this to a one star if I have future negative experiences. I'd rather pay more of my hard-earned money at another business than be treated poorly.
