Wittenburg Fire Department serves the Southern Central end of Alexander County located in the foothills of North Carolina.
Wittenburg Fire Department serves an approximately 23 square mile area in the South Central part of Alexander County, located in the foothills of North Carolina. We have a population area of almost 5,500 citizens. We currently have about 27 volunteer firefighters and we are typically always looking for more. We have 1 staffed position at the department during the day on week days which is covered by a few of our firefighters. We have been able to maintain an ISO Class 6 rating which help our citizens by minimizing the amount of fire tax they have to pay in our district.
Wittenburg Fire Department is dedicated to providing outstanding fire and medical services to the residents of the Wittenburg community.
