We strive to build better students, people, communities and experiences.
Residence Life offers 14 different residence halls and four different apartment complexes on Western Michigan University’s Kalamazoo campus. More than 5,600 students live on campus, including most of the first-year student class. Students can choose from a variety of room types, opt to live in one of 14 learning communities, or participate in numerous activities aimed at supporting academic success, forming social networks, or getting involved on campus.
The mission of Residence Life is to foster a residential experience that engages individuals as students, community members and learners through academic support, civic responsibility and personal development.
