The purpose of the Woden High School Alumni Association is to promote fellowship of former students and to support the best interests of the school. Our goal is to make scholarships a priority to encourage our graduates to reach their goal of a higher education.
Woden High School Alumni Scholarship was established in 1990 at Stephen F. Austin State University. Any graduate of Woden High School can apply for the scholarship. The scholarship was endowed based on 1990 criteria: $10,000.00 to endow a scholarship. Interest rates are much lower now than when they were in 1990. The scholarship level needs to be increased at least to $20,000.00 with an ultimate goal of $100,000.00 to give a student enough money to pay for tuition and fees. To apply for the scholarship, go to the Stephen F. Austin State University Alumni Association website: www.sfaalumni.com and click on scholarships. Application is available September 1st with deadline February 1st.
