This post office is open 5hrs hours during the day and closed during lunch. If you order anything that ships through the post office, you'll have to pick it up at the counter because it's rarely put in one of the lock boxes. It's a nightmare if you have work during the week. They've sent a number of things back after a day, now they're in some ridiculous dispute with UPS over delivering packages from Amazon because they get dropped off there for UPS to pick up and deliver because they don't because the neighborhoods are too rural to do so yet UPS and FedEx does so no problem. It's gotten to where they're holding onto big packages that need to be delivered directly to your house. If it's a small package that fits into the po box or one of the lock boxes for us to pick up whenever we get the chance, ok, but big packages that don't and need to be delivered to house because of how large and heavy it is, one of two things need to happen, either let UPS take them or get this location their own to truck to deliver them themselves like all the other locations do. Another thing that needs to be fixed is the hours because not everyone can make it over there by 3pm, please extend to 5 or 6 so patrons can get their stuff and send stuff easier. The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff is super nice, friendly and just trying their best with the limitations given to them and if the hrs are extended it'll benefit them as well as the patrons.
The counter man is rude that just rips papers out of your hand and walks off before you can say anything.Have to pick up your own packages because the mail lady won't leave her car so if you order anything in wofford heights you won't get it and have to go deal with the rude dude in the office nice.
This post office is open four hours during the day and closed during lunch. If you order anything that ships through the post office, you'll have to pick it up at the counter because it's rarely put in one of the lock boxes. It's a nightmare if you work during the week. I also had them arbitrarily decide where I should be receiving mail and stop allowing me to receive it there. They sent a number of important things back to the sender, including a degree and my car registration. I also had to purchase a PO box because they couldn't deliver mail to my new address without some kind of application that required a number that the county doesn't have. Came to my home mailbox a year later to find that they had, in fact, been delivering bills to it. All in all, it's the absolute worst part of living here. Just something to consider if you think you might move here.
The postmaster in kernville California, knows his job. No hard work no fumbling about. He went right to it and got it done good job, thanks.
The mail on informed delivery is never in the box when it says it is. Check 3-4 times a day for important documents is ridiculous.
Very helpful, fast, friendly service always provided at this location by knowledgable, and customer-service oriented postal worker by the name of Josh, I think.
