The Women’s Center offers a welcoming and safe place where all students are encouraged to find their voice, believe in themselves, and create change. As part of the MSU’s commitment to recognizing and supporting diversity efforts on campus, the Women's Center provides high-impact programs, diverse opportunities and powerful collaborations, affording all students with the skills and tools necessary to provide innovative leadership and activism.
Events include:
• The Vagina Monologues
• I Heart Female Orgasm that focuses on the topic of consent and healthy relationships
• A major lecture series including speakers; Kathy Najimy (Hocus Pocus), Lilly Ledbetter (Fair Pay Act), Gloria Steinem, Wilma Mankiller, and many more
• A documentary film series
• Money Matters Dinners – to help teach students about budgeting, debt, finances, etc
• Evening of Leadership Series

Housed in the Women’s Center, is the Violence Awareness and Response Program. VARP provides a safe, supportive space for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and family members and friends affiliated with Minnesota State University, Mankato. VARP's mission is to reduce the pervasiveness and effects of sexual violence.
