My sister, oldest 2 daughters, and myself visited woods of terror tonight for the very 1st time! After reading reviews, I had mixed feelings about going, but after my visit, I am happy to say it was a great decision. The staff were very friendly. We arrived about 7 and only had to wait in line for cash only tickets for approximately 15 minutes after they opened. Once inside the midway, the "monsters" were fantastic! They really made my 12 year old feel special! The interaction was amazing! They carried on conversations with my 16 year old as well, along with remaining true to character! When we entered the queue we had time to get pictures with the monsters, enjoyed some dancing and the band, and walked around the midway twice before we were texted to go inside the trail. Once inside, again the monsters were very interactive and great! As far as scare factor, there were quite a few good jump scares, but it was the fun factor that won me over! There is so much interaction, such great actors, and just an overall good time!!! Would definitely recommend this attraction and see myself returning in the future!!!
This is a must see haunt if you’re anywhere in the Carlinas. We went last year for the first time and it was good then, but when we visited a few nights ago, it was even better than I ever remembered. Although not much changed from last year, the actors were on point and love scaring people! Very good entertainment in the Midway while you wait for a text in the virtual queue. Their website is not updated with times and prices, so look more into it before purchasing your tickets. I thought we had missed the monster parade but to my surprise, it happened when we were in the Midway. You do NOT want to miss this parade.. so cool! Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a great scare!
My first time this year! Shop staff was extremely friendly, loved buying food to warm up before the trail. The trail was AMAZING! Worth the money. Sometimes it got backed up because there were so many people lol Did not like how the spooky staff would look over our shoulders at our phones, was an uncomfortable invasion of privacy.
I went on October 1st and had a BLAST! I highly recommend you get the all access pass, as it really heightened my experience. If you're not sure what kind of benefits you get from it, I'm posting a picture of the list of benefits that's written on the lanyard. There is a section during the haunt where all the art on the wall is in 3D, and you get 3D glasses to make it even cooler if you have the all access pass. Along with skipping the line for the main haunt and getting to go in whenever you want, you also get to ride the "Hellevator" among other amazing benefits! This is one long trail that will take you at least 45 minutes to walk through it all, and while there is one porta potty about 2/3 of the way through, make sure you go to the bathroom before you start walking. There is also ax throwing in concessions in the Midway. My one complaint is the Blackout Terror section at the end. Not only do you not get a dark hood over your head like the website said, but since it's extremely dark and you will want to feel your way through by touching the walls, there is some weird electricity and sparks flying above on the ceiling, and I got MASSIVELY shocked THREE times, and it was NOT a pleasant sensation. That was honestly a bit of a safety hazard I think. Other than that, I had a fantastic time, and I highly, highly recommend you go!
#2 in the US. Love the virtual que really cuts down on the waiting around in lines. An active 59 minutes from start to finish. Quite impressive. Arrive early in the evening and watch the scare actors parade out into the midway followed by the National Anthem played live on stage before the scares begin.
Let’s just say, I’ve been to a lot of haunted trails but this is the best one I’ve been too. They had so many monsters it’s set up so nicely. Every then they had was beyond amazing, the concert while you’re waiting was so much fun! This is truly worth the money you should definitely check it out. It’s truly the best!
This place is awesome. They had great makeup and costumes on their actors and the trail was lengthy. So much better that the usual short ones
I drove all the way out from Hendersonville nc, took about three hours and change. It was well worth the drive and trip. Woods of terror does an amazing job, great staff great actors wonderful people all around. I highly recommend this haunt alot of work goes into creating this experience every year. Definitely one of the best I've been to. Will definitely be coming back next year.
Been going to Woods of Terror for several years and I must say it gets better and better everytime! 2022 is the best year yet, and as always everything was on point, including actors, costumes, make-up, special effects, animatronics, sets/scenes etc. Made the drive up from the Charlotte area and well worth getting the $65 all access pass to skip the lines! Per usual it took right around an hour to complete the entire trail which consists of a multitude of brilliantly-themed and lengthy sets. I must say you guys did an excellent job with the changes, you never cease to amaze me. The new hospital set is phenomenal! The scare actors are the very best at their job and never come out of character…you can tell they really enjoy scaring people and they stay engaged with the crowd. The ultra realistic sets/scenes were ahhhmazing as usual and really gave a sense of total immersion. There was certainly plenty of actors there in each maze I might add. While others like Spooky Woods have their fair share of scares, it’s simply way too short for the $$$ that you spend, also the shortage of actors and lack of enthusiasm is a real drawback. Woods of Terror never lets up from the time you enter the parking lot as you immediately take a whiff of the fog and witness the iridescent glow off in the distance. The midway is also full of fun and games plus it includes plenty of photo ops as well. This place will always be one of the best haunts I’ve ever been too and designed by the true professionals of the industry, so if you haven’t gone yet, what are you waiting for?! I wanna give a special shout-out to Eddie Bone Daddy and his fantastic crew for going above & beyond for this haunt enthusiast. C U guys next year!
Got the all access passes, If you’re coming a long way be prepared for the long line of traffic to get into woods of terror. 6:30-11:00PM are the allowed arrival times. We showed up around 6:50, didn’t wait too long before entering. let me say for kids and teens this may be extremely fun. For adults it really depends, I didn’t find it too scary. The actors are interesting, well costumed and somewhat interactive. More psychological themed rooms, smaller groups, less smoke and banging would be nice. **VERY IMPORTANT NOTE**especially to other women they only have Porta-Potties. My spouse mentioned they were extremely dirty. Having to pee really bad, I held it until going to a gas station near by. For the price, clean the dang porta potties. Even better add a real bathrooms for your guest. Yes we want to be scared but not disgusted.. There needs to be more organization too. We ended up having to ask a staff member to direct us back. Overall, you may be better off spending your money doing something else.
