The Worcester County Arts Council, Inc. established in 1977, is a private non-profit corporation designated by the County Commissioners and the Maryland State Arts Council to promote and encourage visual, performing and cultural arts in the county.
Mission
The mission of the Worcester County Arts Council is to aid, encourage, advise and correlate all activities dedicated to the promotion of the arts in Worcester County, as may be found feasible; to integrate such activities into the total life of the communities served by the council.

"The Worcester County Arts Council is a non profit 501c3 organization designated as a local county agency for the Arts. Our mission is to promote, encourage, and support all forms of Arts and cultural activities in our Communities. We fulfill our mission by offering grants, art scholarships, support arts in education programs, and feature local artists work on exhibits in our Galleries.Our Gallery is free and open to the public. Each month on 2nd Friday we're open late from 5 pm - 8 pm where visitors have an opportunity to meet local artists and enjoy local arts atmosphere while browsing through our new exhibits."
