I took 5 of our children 8 Mo. - 9 years here for a fun day out. I think our 9 year old is at the top of the age range who will enjoy it there unless you have an older kid who actually wanted to read about all the different countries and read the books they have there. There was only a few other people there when we went. It is one big room with different areas sectioned off to focus on different countries. We stayed about two hours and the kids weren’t bored yet, but we needed lunch. They had a great time and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend this museum.
I took my class on a field trip here and the kids loved it! It's a great setup so they could explore all the different hands-on activities in a space where I wasn't afraid to let them roam on their own. The staff was very friendly. She went over the rules and then left us alone to have fun while still being available for questions. So much to play with while learning about and exploring various cultures from around the world. I loved the different artwork displayed from kids in other countries.
Such a beautiful concept and a wonderful and fun educational place to spend a few hours with children! The art displayed throughout the museum is created by children from around the world, and the activities are interactive and culturally inclusive. Would definitely go again.
Cute little play place for the kids. While it's called a museum, it's more of a large place house for kids. Lots of dress up, kitchenettes, musical instruments, and even a fishing area. Very creative use of "discarded items" to build small areas of the world for the kids to "visit." Not a place I would travel more than 45min to see, but definitely cute for locals. Can't beat the price either $5/person with discounts available. Just beware, the only parking is on the street, the lot next door will get you towed.
My grandson loves it here. We were the only ones there, which was fun. Great young lady at the front desk.
The World Awareness Museum has quickly become on of our favorite "adventure" spots in the Capital Region. The Kids love the diversity and culture on display that they get to interact with. Their programs are great as well, the most recent being their new years program where our children learned how various cultures ring in the new year and got to participate in those ceremonies. Happy to continue to support a great, local, establishment.
This place is great! $5/person age 3+, open 10-3 every day but Tues/Weds/Thurs. We came with our 2-year-old who LOVED every exhibit. There’s definitely enough fun and learning to be had by a wide range of kids. Our little guy loved all the hands-on stuff, and older kids would like learning and going more in detail with each exhibit. This place is a must-visit when in Glens Falls!
Our 3.5 year old grandson spent 2 hours at the museum on Friday, January 7th. He could explore the various displays at his own pace. There is truly something for everyone to experience. You feel as if you have traveled the world when you leave. Nolan had a ball and so did I! I had to drag him out. Next time he comes to visit we will definitely return. I highly recommend going!!
Such a nice little place to spend an afternoon with the kiddos. Mine are 2 and 6 years old and they had a good time exploring for about 2 hours here. The folks that work there are so friendly. You can tell they enjoy their job. :Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10
