Description

The WOW Park is the largest play area in the Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services park system. The equipment is designed for agility, balance, imagination, motion, tactile/sensory experience, social engagement, and upper body strength. It offers a variety of play experiences, both passive and active and is located near a wooded passive play area, as well.

The playground includes ten slides featuring a three-story Slide Tower which is the park’s tallest element. The new play area also includes a Biba Activated Playground (augmented reality gameplay experience), climbing rock wall, a two story Dynamo Apollo Spinner and a rope web climber. The swing areas include standard swings, as well as co-ride parent/child generational swings, swings for individuals with mobility impairment, and park bench swings for parents.

I remember coming to this playground when i was around 6 years old. When I went up the stairs on the playground nostalgia suddenly hit me! I remember having my first kiss right on this bench. Anyway, this playground is so fun! I've sadly outgrown this place but the swings are really nice and sturdy.
We love this park so much! We've been coming for about 10 years so before they did the remodel. The remodel is awesome so much fun for the kids to have and we love that there's a trail that goes to the skatepark from the playground my boys ride there bikes or skateboards there. Sometimes we take Little Caesars pizza and eat it at one of the tables there I love that it's dog friendly as well.
This is our favorite park!! It has so many fun things to do! It has an area for younger kids and a multi age area where all kids can play. It offers slides of all sorts,climbing nets and climbing walls, obstacle courses, different types of monkey bars, several swings, and a walking path,etc. Even has a bathroom building and a set of drinking fountains. We love it!
The park is really nice. There is a paved walkway around the playground. There is also a forest nature walk that is not paved. My 4 year old loved it but it definitely would be interesting for babies up until the age of 12ish for playground. The only negative is that the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting.
Great for little climbing. Best to go on cooler days for the smaller slides. It's wide open to the southern sun and heat. The picnic area was great. Perfect for family gathering.
Such a great playground! We're from out of town and stayed for 3 1/2 hours we enjoyed it so much. My 4 year old said she wanted to have her birthday party there. It's just so many unique features you don't always see. Different style slides, bridges, ropes monkey bars. Just great!
What a wonderful place! Beautifully maintained and plenty for the kids to do! A do not miss if you need them to nap!
This is one of the great parks in the greater Athens Georgia area. There used to be an older park close to here. They demolished the old the park and built this one brand new. This park really has some nice interactive challenges for kids age 14 and under. However, 4 to 8 year olds have a blast as well. There is also an area that is appropriate for 5yrs and under. There are plenty of obstacles slides things to hang on climb up and spin around on. There is even a mega tall slide. Great for an hour to 3 hours of play time and in close proximity to plenty of restaurants.
Two great playgrounds with walking trails.
This park was AMAZING! So much fun for my 3 children aged 11, 4 & 2. Stuff to climb in & on, many slides, different types of slides. I would highly recommend this playground.
