Nice playground for the little ones, with slides and swings. Plenty of room to walk both on the road around the park and on trails through the woods. They even have a small zoo with various animals including deer, emus and various farm animals.
This place is one of my favorite parks. whenever I can, we take a 40-minute drive just to come here. Love the aminals, the play areas for the kids, and I enjoy the scenic views.
This is a very cool place to visit, especially since it's like going to the zoo for free! I highly recommend it. The views are also great since the place is high you can see far.
Been going for 20 years, animals, park and so much more, hidden gem, great for picnic, family pictures, kids of all ages, hidden gem of a park, very well kept!!
I absolutely love this park and if we lived closer we'd go there more often. However when we got to the park we couldn't find the machines for the food to feed the animals, But we just picked up the food that was on the ground and gave it to the animals instead . My 3-year-olds had a blast, He especially loved the little excavator toy in the playground. But because we lived so far away from Attleboro we were extremely tired so we didn't get to see everything in the park but from what we did see we really loved it. Can't wait to go back to see what we missed. And this park is totally free so you can't go wrong. Playground: I like that they have more than one playground. They of course had the big green slide, But then they had a playground catered to children under three and then they had a playground for all ages. Restrooms: From what we could see there is only two outhouses, It wasn't kept super super clean but it wasn't super super disgusting either and there was hand sanitizer to clean your hands. Dog-friendliness: The park is dog-friendly obviously you have to pick up after your dog and they also ask you to stay certain feet away from the animals in the petting zoo with your dog. Picnic area: They had different sites throughout the entire park for which you could park your car and put your food on the grill.
I have been coming to this park for over 30 years since I was a small child. I attended zoo camp here as a child. I really like the variety of free activities available at the park between the zoo, the playground, grilling, hiking, and disc golf. I am delighted to take my young daughter here even though we live far away now. She loves the playground and the animals. Thank you for keeping it free!
Giant slide was awesome. Kids spent almost an hour going up and down. My sister told me to bring plenty of quarters to get food pellets to feed the animals. Funny goats.
I've been going here since I was a little kid. I used to Chase the peacocks. Now I can bring my child there too enjoying nature and play on the playground And see the animals. Love this place Restrooms: Porter potty
So much to do here: Feeding zoo, disk golf, hiking trails, fields, playgrounds, huge sand area for kids, great view, picnic spots reservable as well, and best of all a gigantic slide. Ample parking. I really like the hiking trails personally - a quick way to get away and get some fresh air. Could probably spend 1.5 -2 hours doing the outer loops. Interesting scenery with the old ski lifts and what-not still in place. There are hills throughout the property that are probably a great sledding spots for kids in the winter. Fun fact: from the parks website The park is the highest point in Bristol County at 390 feet. Playground: I believe there are 3 separate play areas for kids. One of the best playgrounds I can think of in the area. Especially with the huge sand area stocked with toys, and the gigantic enclosed slide.
Nice kids park/small zoo combo. For adults/families, they have picnic tables and some of the built-in old school charcoal grills, which are really cool. I haven't used one yet there, but did in the past in other cities, which are cool if you don't have ability to grill at home. They a have a long slide for kids, which was nice, and a couple of interesting sculptures for kids to take photos with. In another area of the park, there is the typical kids playground with slides and things to hang on, slide, etc.
