World Yoshukai Karate is a Japanese form of karate that was founded in 1963 that has been in Bay County since 1984. Our family run dojo (Father and Son) caters to students from about 8 to 80 years young. We are part of the World Yoshukai Karate Kobudo Organization, which has dojos all over the world. We, Robert and Bruce Girvin, are the instructors/owners and are 2nd degree Black Belts (Nidan) working towards our 3rd degree under the instruction of Shihan Croley, a 6th degree Black Belt. We hold our classes in the Oakland Terrace Recreation Center so that we are able to provide a world renowned martial art at a lower price, since we do not have a large over-head cost.
