Worldwide Moving Systems LLC was the prime contractor for the move for our neighbors on May 18, 2017. Either one their drivers or one of their subcontractor drivers impacted and broke a retaining wall on my property during this move. When I came home around 4pm that day, I saw one of their trucks having a difficult time turning around in my driveway and then immediately saw the damage to the wall. I approached the driver he said he saw the other driver hit the wall. Both my neighbor and I called and emailed World Wide Moving Systems and they said another driver at their subcontractors, Dunmar Local Dispatch, and Agent for Allied Van Lines, did the damage. When I spoke with Dunmar Local Dispatch they said they saw the other driver do the damage. I would expect the prime contractor, Worldwide Moving Systems LLC, to take responsibility, but they are not. I requested that a response on how Worldwide Moving Systems planned to remedy this incident, however all I have received is a “I did not get your email” and here is the number to call for the other driver. Both drivers and companies are denying responsibility, so now we need file a criminal complaint to the Boulder police department for a hit and run involving property damage, which is a class 2 misdemeanor with a sentence of a minimum of a year in prison and a $1000 fine. Do not use Worldwide Moving Systems, and if you neighbors are moving, don’t let them move with them either!
The staff were friendly and efficient. Their estimate seemed fair to us. They kept us informed of the steps, deadlines and they came when they said and arrived at our new location as scheduled. Our only complaint is that we had them pack the kitchen and they failed to pack our pots and pans. We couldn't see it because the boxes were piled in front of cabinets. It took us days to figure out they were missing. When we figured out they hadn't been packed we tried to contact the folks buying our house but they decided we had left them on purpose and gave them to Goodwill. We had to go out and buy an entire set of pots and pans to replace them. The cost was not enough to claim the loss after the deductible. I recommend if you have them pack that you check and make sure everything made it into a box. We had a glass baking dish break that they had packed but I considered that par for the course for a move. Overall I think they did a good job and I liked the staff we worked with.
My moving from Denver to Chicago was very good with North American moving. Since the moment they come to your home to make an estimate, offer free boxes save money until they deliver to your new home. They don’t ask you for a deposit, they charge you when they load the truck and is already in the City for delivery. None of my furniture was damage or broken. Driver was on time and very polite.
If I've from Colorado, I will definitely use them again. Their movers were the best with awesome attitudes, and Denise understood the plight of shipment and did all she could to help me out. I highly recommend.
