Western Oklahoma State College offers high quality courses designed to fulfill the lower level requirements for the agriculture department at Oklahoma State University. Because departmental requirements vary at other universities, students are strongly urged to consult a faculty advisor. BS degrees can be earned in the following areas: Horticulture, Animal Sciences, Vet Medicine, USDA, Landscape Studies, Agribusiness Management, Agronomy, Food Technology, Integrated Pest Management, Natural Resource Management, Agricultural Communications, Entomology, Agricultural Education, Range Management, Range Science, Soil Science, and Wildlife and Fisheries Management.
To provide students with a solid foundation of crop production, animal science, and agriculture economics in conjunction with a working knowledge of the agriculture industry outside of the classroom.
