Description

We are a small winery in northeast Columbus. The winery opened in 1977 when the land around us was field and forest. Since then a neighborhood has sprung up around the winery. The winery was built to be a home as well as a winery and it still is to this day. Wine is produced in the cellar that was specially designed to be a wine making facility, and the wine shop and tasting room provide a comfortable, relaxed environment to taste and enjoy Wyandotte's wines. Wyandotte does not have a vineyard, although the current owners, Robin and Valerie Coolidge, have planted a few vines on the property. Grapes and juice to make the wine come from Ohio whenever possible, but if the fruit cannot be grown well in Ohio, it is brought in from other parts of the US and the world including California and Chile.

Our goal is to produce wines that people enjoy. We believe wine should be fun and enjoyable, not intimidating.

Very quaint winery surprisingly located in a neighborhood setting not that they have a vineyard or such. The wines and drinks are heavy on the fruit side pomegranate, cranberry, sulshies etc. however the Cityscape merlot was delicious and my husband claims the plum wine was the best he has ever had. The cheese and meat plate definitely left something to be desired with only 4 or 5 slices of the fat-iest of meat and far too many overly salty wheat thin type knock off crackers. Won't fall for that again but the wood fired pizzas looked very tasty. We will return!
Went here with my partner and some friends to celebrate my 21st birthday and it was wonderful! I didn’t get the staff members name, unfortunately, but she was super welcoming and did a great job explaining the wines and suggesting some for us. Overall, great and affordable experience! If you go in, try the plum wine, it’s fantastic!
The ladies were extremely nice and the tastings were VERY generous. We did 5 tastings each & let’s just say we had a good feeling on the way to the next winery LOL! We tried the sweet wines and to be completely honest we were not impressed with any of them. Then we tried the cake but they were out of the blackberry so we got 2 of the chocolate and that was fantastic. The other one we both took one bite of and had a hard time swallowing that.
Well my friends and I stopped here for the wine tasting and live music. This was our first time here and we were looking forward to it. The staff was rude. We didn't know all the rules for getting a flight and the young lady helping us seemed annoyed. She moved on to the next customer and another lady begin to help us. We decided just to get a wine slush. At this point we didn't feel welcomed and decided to spend our time and money elsewhere. Unless you are a regular and know all of the rules don't come here!
This was my first time. I went with a friend and we had a lot of fun. Very relaxing. The patio is nice but the rest is lawn seating, byos. The wine is on the sweet side, even the Merlot was sweet to me.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Eileen and Darcy are experts of this winery’s delicious array of wines. Don’t miss out on their Friday Night Music and Fun food truck, sit on the patio or in the grass and bring your pup. It’s an experience you won’t wanna miss!
We had an amazing time! The owner was so nice and answered all of our questions. The wine was some of the best wine I have ever had. We read reviews before going and had high expectations that were far exceeded. The back patio was so comfortable and the food was amazing. Anyone trying to find a nice low key place for a date or day trip with friends should definitely go to Wyandotte. We will be going back every chance we get!
