The facility was not open at the time of our visit so we toured the outside grounds and viewed the structure from the outside. It is a typical Frank Lloyd Wright design with high ceilings and sharp lines. There were at least two fireplaces that we could see from looking inside from the outside. The ceilings had wood pieces that were oriented towards the ceilings peak typical of what one would see in his house and architectural school at Tailiesin. I would have liked to tour inside the building but it was not open at the time. This peaked my interest in visiting other Frank Lloyd Wright designed structures.
This beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright creation is fantastic and the Executive Director Dave Zaleski has done an amazing job with the restoration and repairs. The space can be rented and it is on a huge piece of property. Don't miss it!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10
Every child should have an opportunity to experience this place. They host unique summer camp experiences every year which my children are excited to attend. This year they did an upcycled clothing camp which ended in a fashion show.
Missed the tours on Saturday. Discovered this site Sunday morning, and stopped to circle the building and press our noses to the windows. If we get back to the area again, we'll schedule a tour of the interior.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
The restoration of this Frank Lloyd Wright designed school brought light and sky right down to fill the space. The beams and chimney restoration stayed true to the original colors! The current exhibit brought art, textiles and amazing insect Inspiration. The Spirit houses brought architectural and Taiwanese inspiration together. Great space for events!
WRIGHT & like HOMES your starts here! Great space, and a beautiful building. On display the work of Thomas Olson, crafted by Peter Korman in this pictures
Fascinating building; a Frank Lloyd Wright school on the National Register of Historic Places. There was an art show there featuring tropical insects. Quite creative idea. Don't remember the name of the artist tho. -- Dr. Rebecca ButlerVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Great insect display only until June 12. The building has been restored and is worth a visit. Great tour guide!
Historical Frank Lloyd Wright building. Currently with incredible art display of exotic insects. Creative! Excellent docent.
Not just a tourist attraction. They have summer classes for kids and music events. I've visited there to watch plays that my grandkids performed in. And to pick them up from classes they attended. Great little place.
