Walked in through the back door as instructed on the front door and nobody greeted me. There is a bell on the door too and still nobody even acknowledged it. Sat for 5 minutes and still nothing. The haircut chair was empty too. Just a few folks in some back room talking about Jeff Bezos. I just walked out. Really disappointing since I really wanted a quality haircut. Instead I didn't even feel like I was wanted there. Thought this was the cool barber shop to go to on Belgrade. Now is just one chair tucked in the corner of another shop.
I take my 3 year old there quite often. He sits well for his haircuts and they clean him up very good, very patient. Love the feeling like an old barber shop. Always clean and the people are very nice and welcoming. Best to call and make an appointment, the days seem to fill fast.
Logan is the best barber in town. He does a great fade and makes it look right. You'll have to call well in advance, appointments get booked up fast. The shop is in a cool historic building too.
Upon visiting this location for the first time, I found the environment welcoming and professional. However, all the luster came to an end in my endeavor to make this my barber shop. In my brief, yet ill experience with this establishment, I went through 3 different barbers: the first, gave me a couple great cuts, but was quick to pass me on to another barber without my full consent. I excused the unprofessionalism, and continued to establish rapport with the second barber who after calling a few weeks later to schedule an appointment, I found no longer worked there. Being very understanding about this type of occurrence, I was scheduled with the third barber for the following day in the evening. As I went to my appointment, I noticed that all of the lights to the shop were off--the shop was closed! I was scheduled after hours when the shop was closed. I am not complaining about the quality of the service, my complaint is with the customer service, consideration, and appreciation. I didn't appreciate being a "tossed-around" customer. It is a pity that this would happen, even after the fact that my gratuity has always been handsome. I don't desire this type of disrespect to happen to another customer, thus why I write this review.
I've been here twice. The first time was great. My barber, Logan, gave me his undivided attention, worked with me for what I was looking for, and ended up with a result that was great. Recently went here again though and couldn't have had a more opposite/terrible experience. To start, my barber never even gave me his name. He rarely looked at or talked to me and seemed to be much more interested in what other people were saying or doing. I even would catch him cutting my hair while looking away. To top it all off, after discussing how I wanted my beard trimmed with him twice, he still didn't listen to what I had said and ended up chopping most of it off. And even though he screwed it up, he still had me pay full price. Really poor customer service there too. So even though my first time was really great, I don't think that I'll ever be returning after an experience like this.
One of the best haircuts of my life, which is saying something because my head is shaped like a rotted pear and is covered in cowlicks. Fast and good is a killer combo. They did my beard as well and it was faster and way better than I do it myself. Not at all expensive, either.
Took my toddler there last minute on a Saturday for a haircut. They were booked full but managed to squeeze us in. The environment was great and Ellen did a fantastic job on my son’s haircut. I’ve been to several kid salons with him before and I would have to say Y Barbers was equally as fun for him and the haircut was way better. I would recommend.
