With 700,000 rolls of microfilm and 8 million sheets of microfiche, the Microform Reading Room at Sterling Memorial Library holds the second largest repository of microform in the nation. Equipped with the latest scanners and digital equipment, the facility is an invaluable part of the Yale University Library system.
A dedicated team of 42 Yale undergraduates is lead by Kevin Pacelli, who has headed the department since its inception in 1986, to serve countless researchers from all over the globe.
Since its foundation in 1986, the facility has grown from a few thousand reels of Newspapers both International and Domestic to a broad selection of Primary Resources for academic research.
