Wow! This place out did itself on every level. First of all, the service was impeccable. Our server, Christian, was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and he wasn’t overly intrusive about us ordering food as we chose to get appetizers one by one. Another thing were the drinks. We’re tequila drinkers and they don’t hold back on the liquor at all. Well worth the money. To our surprise the manager, Marty Lawrence, came to our table and asked how we liked everything? He ended up staying for the longest time entertaining us with his witty conversation. My wife and I were pleasantly pleased with all the food choices we made, mostly suggested by Christian and Marty. Everything was perfectly seasoned and came out very quickly from the kitchen as we ordered it. I definitely recommend you stopping by. Great place to indulge in food and drinks.
What a lovely gem under the Beverly Center with creative takes on Southern staples. The deviled eggs have a tower of filling, the BLT has no bread fried green tomatoes are the "bread", and the waffle in the chicken and waffles is cheddar. The staff was delightful and the drinks were top notch too. I didn't get a pic of the full chicken and waffles portion but it comes with four big pieces of chicken. The one in the pic is the smaller portion on the lunch prix fixe.
This restaurant keeps taking down my review on Yelp. Food is very overpriced and very mediocre. I didn't appreciate their watered down version of fried chicken, waffles and watermelon. The short rib was chewier than I expected for the price. Street corn was delicious, shrimp were delicious. Waiter did a good job juggling his many tables around. I just wished they were quicker at clearing off our dirty plates so we could have more space. Our booth was torn and ragged and they still chose to sit us there. No. I will not come again.
Wonderful dining experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Our Beef Short Rib Pasta was most delicious and our cocktails were perfect. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and very creative. The Key Lime Pie was the BEST!! But the Apple Cobbler was a miss for me, just not sweet enough & way too tart. But management was awesome & resolved our issue in a friendly, polite and quick manner. Highly recommend dining here for date nights, large groups or solo.
I was so happy that Yardbirds is located in Los Angeles. It was fun, friendly, and fantastic food. The services were awesome. Parking is great. It is a little pricey but worth it.Food: 5/5
I originally came here for a drink. I was in the mood for a margarita and Yardbird happened to be attached to the Beverly Center, which I was wandering around in. The decor was stunning and the staff was attentive. The bartender talked me into getting a sweet rim instead of my normal salt. It was delicious. He topped it off with a strawberry instead of lime. I can’t recall if their margarita included watermelon or strawberry but it was so refreshing. This was in 2021 so don’t fault me. I glanced over at the guest next to me and saw how delicious the food was and decided I needed to try a bite. Yardbird is contemporary yet traditional Southern food so it’s definitely got that comfort factor. Everything brought out from the kitchen smelled delicious and was plated so beautifully. I ordered their Mac and Cheese and Crispy Brussels sides. Both were so decadent and rich! It makes me look forward to visiting Yardbird again in the future to try more of their menu. I’m glad I happened upon this gem and I think you will be too if you decide to go!
Really fantastic food. I had the Mac and Cheese and French fries. The Mac was creamy and flavorful with a nice crunchy topping served in a little cast iron dish. It was a little expensive for the portion size but it really was first rate. The fries were perfect. They have a thin crispy seasoned coat and are perfectly done got without the bacon salt. Again, a *little* pricy for the portion but they were amazing. Friend who is gluten free said the 1/2 chicken was absolutely outstanding. The one slightly odd thing was the service. The hostess made us wait for almost 10 minutes to seat us even though there were plenty of tables open. The waiter was really attentive and great but the kitchen's timing was a little off and prepared my food well in advance and it just sat there under the heat lamp for a while until my friend's chicken was done. Why not just serve it? So it was only kind of warm when it arrived. That being said, speaks volumes that even a little cold, the Mac and cheese and fries were spectacular. Vegetarian options: While there isn't a huge selection of vegetarian options, the Mac and cheese side was outstanding and the fries got without the bacon salt were amazing.
We went there for brunch and we had the chicken and waffles which was nice, the chicken portions were great, we had a breast, wing and a thigh and it does come with hot sauce but I wish the chicken came spicy. The kids had the beignets she said it was ok the avocado toast she loved and crème brûlée waffles the last kid said they were too sweet. It was a pricey brunch for 5.
Good food. Nice server. Not spectacular but satisfactory. Deviled eggs were the best.Food: 4/5
Highly recommend! We had the Chicken & Waffles and Roasted 1/2 Bird; both generous portions and very tasty. The Blackberry Bourbon lemonade had a nice kick and Bourbon Bacon Chocolate cake was HUGE, rich and just amazing. Customer service was great. Our server always made sure we were taken care of.Recommended dishesChicken & Waffles Gluten-Free Waffles
