The Yazoo City Municipal School District serves students at six school campuses: Webster Elementary, McCoy Elementary, Woolfolk Middle, Yazoo City High School, Alternative Learning Center and the Larry Summers Vocational Center. Our Mission is to educate all children to their highest potential through dedicated, qualified teachers, a strong, innovative focus on learning, supportive administrators and staff, community involvement, and a safe, nurturing environment.
Our district goals are to maximize the performance of each student in all academic areas, to increase the on-time graduation rate, to decrease the dropout rate, to strengthen community relations and parental involvement, and to maintain fiscal integrity and accountability with a fund balance of 21% of revenues.
