First time back since they moved here from Valley Blvd. Same awesome food with some new dishes . My favorite green onion bread loaded with tons of green onions in every bite. Never had a bad dish here yet!Food: 4/5
New ownership, now serving traditional Taiwanese cuisine. The items on the menu is on the pricey side, but the food is good. Had basil fish slice rice and red yeast pork rice. Both were tasty, though the pork was too fatty for my taste. During grand opening, the minced pork rice is offered at $1 per bowl instead of the regular price of $4.95. The interior wall can use some decoration.
Love the large scallion bread and tofu fish, both took a while to make so order early. Other dishes we tried were all pretty good, too. Parking is a little problematic since they don’t have a parking lot, the best bet is to find street parking.
Love their to-go dishes: green onion bread, salty egg pumpkins and sour-n-spicy soup. Yummy Enjoyed their delicious home style dishes! Their infamous green onion bread is the best & it takes about 20 minutes to bake so you need to order as soon as you get your table!
I am not Taiwanese so I can't say how "authentic" this place is, but the food sure tastes good! They are famous for their green onion pie, which is basically Chinese focaccia bread! You must order as soon as you sit down. I have tried many of their other dishes, and my favorites are "assorted simmered combination" which is a mix of tofu, pig's ears, cured beef etc in spicy oil, and the fish filet in bean sauce, which is fish in a thick sauce that's kinda reminiscent of mapo tofu but it's less spicy. They are really, really delicious! The decor is sparse and the lady speaks very minimal English, but are these hallmark signs of a good immigrant place? :D Come and be a little adventurous, or check photos on here first. You won't be disappointed!
Sat down for dinner with a friend. They asked us to move tables. Although a little confused we agreed and she tried seating us at the server station. Rudeness aside, it is quite disgusting that we would be talking and eating directly onto the cups and plates that would be distributed to the other diners.Service: 1/5
A-mazing Taiwanese food. Home made style comfort food. The portions are good and of course, they're delicious. Perfect food for stay at home
