We’ve stayed at many Jellystone parks in the past, and this one is pretty much on par with the others but still seems to be in the developing stages. The pool is new and really great and my kids loved the laser tag free here, other parks charge a fee to play. The biggest downside is that the park is all gravel and dirt and when it rains many of the sites turn into red clay mud pits. We stayed on Lollipop Lane which was a nice location but quite muddy after the rain we had each evening. As well, all the roads are gravel so the scooter I usually ride around parks is not an option here. This park would be 5/5 if the roads were paved, each RV site had a nicer pad, and gravel was added to the areas that tend to turn into mud pits.
Wonderful fun! Staff was amazing. Very professional and addressed issues right away. Very nice amenities and loved the app which reminds you of the events taking place. Kids had a great time. Wifi was an issue but we were made aware before we arrived. Shower was clogged, microwave display didn't work, remote needed batteries but the issues were addressed immediately which made the stay comfortable despite those things. The pool was so fun!
First time here and the staff was all friendly! Love the kid activities! The entire campground was clean and quiet. I would recommend renting a golf cart like we did since it would be a lot of walking if you don’t. I thought this campground would have more of a playground but they have some swings, a seesaw, gaga ball. They do have the jumping pillow I would come back for the fun events again and our kids loved seeing Yogi the bear and all the rest of the characters :
I recently visited Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Campground in Asheboro, NC with my grandchildren. They had never heard of Yogi Bear before, so they were a little confused by the theme of the park. However, they quickly warmed up to the idea of swimming in the pool, going on wagon rides. The campsites at Jellystone Park are gravel, with no concrete pads. The roads in the park are also gravel, which can be dusty when it's dry. I was impressed with the new amenities at Jellystone Park. There's a new water park with a water slide, a splash pad, There's also a new playground, and a jumping pillow. My grandchildren had a blast playing in all of these areas. The staff at Jellystone Park was very friendly and helpful. They were always willing to answer our questions and make sure we were having a good time. Overall, I had a positive experience at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Campground in Asheboro, NC. The new amenities were great for kids, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the gravel campsites and roads were a little inconvenient. Here are some pros and cons of Jellystone Park in Asheboro, NC: Pros: New amenities, especially for kids Friendly and helpful staff Easy access to I-85 Close to Asheboro Zoo and other attractions Cons: Gravel campsites and roads Can be dusty in the summer Pricey, especially for peak season If you're looking for a family-friendly campground with lots of new amenities, Jellystone Park in Asheboro, NC is a great option. However, if you're looking for a more traditional camping experience, you may want to consider a different campground.
We had a great time here! Here are some of the things I loved: - We weren't "right on top" of the next RV during our stay - The bathrooms were individual and in good, clean condition - The water slide and overall pool area was large, clean, and kid-friendly with an attendant keeping an eye out - There were opportunities for organized games - The electric golf carts were a lot of fun, and we rode through the trails quite a bit my kids loved pretending we were in a jungle - Lights out time was respected, it got dark and quiet right on schedule and our kids were able to sleep easily The playground appeared to be under construction during our stay, which was the one thing we didn't like. There were random parts of playgrounds just tossed around like big metal slides on the floor, alongside tools that probably shouldn't be where kids play. I assume it's being worked on, so it probably won't be a problem for very long. The camp store was a lot of fun, with great Yogi Bear souvenirs and camping essentials. Yogi made several appearances during our stay, and he played the persona very well stealing things from the store and being very playful with the kids. We would definitely stay there again, and look forward to doing so.
We spent 5 weeks bringing two grandchildren at a time to stay in our camper! We travel for a living! Our grandchildren visit every resort we stay at! All of them said this has been the best place ever! They are begging to come back! The youth staff at this place is awesome, they appear to enjoy the activities with the kids! The activities are constant not to mention the awesome pool! The kids enjoyed the ring of fire and dancing with staff! The youth staff showed them a great time! The owners of this place just keep adding to the fun! Jane and Kent are really nice everything is about the kids! The kids enjoyed fishing and our oldest was delighted to play football with a group! The kids also enjoy the golf cart trails through the woods! All the staff very friendly! I almost forgot don’t forget to visit the zoo, right up the road! The campsites are huge! Nearby activities: We visited zoo! Restaurant everything under the bun and som thing different restaurant! Mexican restaurant beside Walmart 9 out of 10! Don’t forget to eat at Pizza Inn located at Walmart entrance very different pizza Inn! You can also just enjoy your stay! Safety: The staff sends out safety alerts regarding ponds and trails! Alerts sent when activities are canceled because of storms! Noteworthy details: The Activities for kids and the pool will keep them so busy they will be ready to sleep at bedtime!
Just got back from Jellystone Park for the first time and Our family absolutely loved it. We came in late Sunday evening after the ranger station had closed, I studied the map before I left home and knew exactly where I was going. I found the camp site with ease, All of the sites were clearly marked and all of the camp roads had names. We set up our camper and settled in for the night. About 10am Monday, we checked in at the ranger's station and was given information about the park. Our kids 10 and 17 loved the pool. They enjoyed playing Gaga ball, z-tag and most of all Lazer tag. The park has trails that most people ride the golf carts on. We decided to walk the trails. I spoke to the owner and she said the park is on 130+ac of land. I read the other people's reviews and if you can't find something to do, you're choosing to do nothing because there is many things to do here. We went to the zoo and also drove into Greensboro to do a few things since Greensboro is only 35 minutes away, you can't drive 5 miles at the beach in that time frame. We stayed a week here and never ran out of anything to do and like every campground I've been to this far. I've met some great people. Campgrounds are different than anywhere else you go. It's most of the time filled with a good group of people. Can't wait to go back.
This was the first time me and my family stayed here it is a wonderful place to stay. Our trip got canceled last minute -5 another campground and we decided to book a site here just hours before. The slide was so much fun. The trails were really fun too. I Love this location, it’s really affordable compared to the one in Bostic. Definitely will be coming back soon!
Jellystone park is perfect for families. The staff is very friendly and engaging with children. The activity director is great she keeps things planned and moving. There is so much to do. Park is clean and well organized check in. The only downside is the road dust but that would not impact us returning just something to be aware of.Service: 5/5
This place had great showers. I have a 4 year old. It was SUPER easy for us to get showers. They are not in women or men. My other half got my son bathed, I got him dressed, and then he got a shower. David was able to take our son back to the camper and I was able to shower. It’s was stress free. Just wished there were more then 3. There were awesome activities for the kids. They had a time where they painted the back drop, then had a glow party later on that night. Also had a golf cart parade in the middle of the day. They had trails you can take the golf carts on. Like mudding etc. We could ride my son around when he was getting antsy. The dislikes: the pool was SUPER small. There wasn't an actual playground. There was a see-saw and some swings. It was gravel. If it was paved, my son could have rode his scooter, and keep him busy for a minute. Overall, the experience was phenomenal. We will be going back.
