Welcome to the Official Facebook page of the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department. The Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1948 and went into service in 1952. I.J. Breeden donated the land to the fire department, and the residents of Yorkshire built the original building on Centreville Rd. Our new station opened up in 2005 on Patton Lane and the original building was sold. Our first due area is approximately six square miles. Within this area, we serve approximately 2,800 homes, 10,000 residents, and 150 businesses. Our equipment consists of three engines, two ambulances, a heavy rescue, an attack, two utility vehicles, and three Chief's vehicles.
