The location was excellent so easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. The room was small but clean and perfectly adequate. The hair drier supplies was a good one and the shower was lovely and powerful. The bed was so comfortable we slept really well. The temperature of the room was nice and easy to change if needed. The view was good from the 16th floor and it wasn’t noisy at all. The only downside, and it’s very small, was the glass partition between the bathroom and bedroom doesn’t give much privacy so best to share with someone you’re close to and comfortable with. What made it for us were the friendly and helpful cabin crew always on hand with advice and help with transport if needed we didn’t but others did or to leave you luggage with or just have a chat about your stay if you stopped in the lobby. Would definitely recommend or return if I ever get the chance.
If you're looking for a unique, futuristic place to stay at, this is a good choice for a good price. The check-in area is done through tablets in the lobby. We had some issues because of how a third-party site arranged my partner's name, but the staff was very helpful. The main attraction in the lobby is the luggage robot, although we did not use the robot - just admired it from afar. Our room was cozy... even a bit small by NYC standards, but had a good layout. There was room under the bed for our suitcases. The shower and bathroom are basically in the room, which I thought was cool. If you're tall enough, you can watch TV from the shower! The only issue we ran into was figuring out how all of the futuristic things work, and the A/C was a bit tricky at first. Once we figured everything out, we really enjoyed our stay. Location is good - it's a few blocks west of the core of Times Square, so it's not as loud as other parts of the city that we've stayed in. We'd absolutely stay here again.
Great location ! Clean and cozy room with great view of NYC buildings. Buffet breakfast of 22$ was good too. Humble staffs. Also I liked the self check in and check out service. Parking available for a fee. Rooms: Small but super cozy ! That’s what I liked about it. Food & drinks: Good restaurant in the hotel itself.
The room in general was very clean and the cleaning staff was very nice and helpful. The bed is comfortable. The location of the hotel is good, close to metro and Time Square. The view was nice from our room. I never saw any ice bag at any ice station I went, the water station of our floor had a problem so I had to do 1 or 2 floors every time to find water. There is no free accessible drinking hot water which is disappointing for me. The only option is at the restaurant level there is a coffee machine with 1$ hot water. The bathroom is open on the bedroom with not much privacy.
I would have given this hotel five stars all the way around if it was not for the camera hanging on the wall in my room. Seeing that camera and the fact that they could see me naked was totally mortifying. I really don't know or understand why this hotel is allowed to have cameras installed in the rooms and plain sight with speakers on them. A few times I did cover them but it still didn't make me feel any comfort because no matter what I did they could still hear and monitor everything that was going on in the room that was supposed to happen private. Rooms: The rooms are quite beautiful except for the cameras Safety: Security takes their time to answer problems going on with customers.
Lobby staff were very friendly and helpful .... above and beyond. Room was spotless, cleaning staff very polite and respectful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would go there again in a heartbeat. Only one tiny issue, staff at the rooftop terrace were slow, in every deli, bar, restaurant and cafe, the service was immediate which is usual for USA but don't let that put you off. Short walk to Times Square but felt more like being in the neighbourhood than Times Square which was perfect.....plenty of dell's, bars, pizza and shops on the doorstep.
The hotel and the rooms are modern and clean, the location is perfect if you're going to an event at the Javits center or if you want to be close to Times Square. The service could use some improvement and the room had some electrical outlets that didn't work. There was no coffee or mini fridge in the room, and only some floors have ice and water, so keep these in mind if they're important to you. Walkability: Wishing distance to Times Square, The Edge and Vessel, Javits Center.
**Correction-Location is for Downtown Miami and it was a very clean, friendly place to stay with great amenities for travelers in a group or solo tourists as I was during my visit. The location was exemplary as there were delicious places to eat, a shopping mall, grooming and several other things to do and see; including a beach that were all in a 5 minute walking distance. I like the aesthetic and the adjustable bed and controlled lighting were bonus features for me. Would highly recommend! Rooms: The room was comfortable and they had great amenities including a huge pool, great views, and a fitness center and very nice meeting rooms. Safety: Room key controlled access to elevator and entrances so only paying guests were allowed entry to the premises. Food & drinks: Roof top bar with a pool served food and drinks. Noteworthy details: The efficiency of the space, design, and color scheme were very impressive. The artwork was also fitting and captured my attention. The hotel was also clean and tidy.
I got a queen room, it was such a cool experience we had a door that let straight to the rooftop. Yotel was in a good location, nice rooftop restaurant, had a nice little pantry for breakfast in the morning. I felt super safe, there was a security door to actually enter the rooms and the gym was nice. Room was small but it was a nice layout if i go back to NYC, i will definitely be staying at this place again. Rooms: Room was small but it worked, it had a cool bed that was electronic so during the day you can tuck the bed away. Nearby activities: Times Square, Empire State, summit one. Safety: I like the double safety it had, so you need key access to enter the actual area where the rooms where and same with the gym. Walkability: We walked all over from Yotel, Times Square was a nice walk, Empire State, summit one Vanderbilt. Streets were clean and always filled with people. Food & drinks: The restaurant on top was good, we got the hamburger, shrimp scampi, truffle fries, wings and i got the cocoa channel drink. If i can only chose three items from the restaurant it would be the burger, truffle fries and the wings.
To put things in perspective it is a 3 star hotel in downtown manhattan. The views are great - the rooms are nothing you would write home about. The service was alright. I was locked out and had to get extra keys - the lady in the front was helpful. The cleaning lady was friendly. The neighborhood is not good for single women at night. But that’s New York for you someone followed me for 2.5 blocks all the way to the hotel, stopped me and basically wanted to talk to me !
