A group composed of the finest young(ish) minds in the Northeastern Pennsylvania legal community, which puts them in the running for finest in the world.
The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Lackawanna Bar Association is composed of:
•All LBA members who have not reached their 38th birthday before the PBA Annual Meeting, or
•All LBA members who are 38 or older that have been practicing five years or fewer.
Membership in the YLD is automatic for lawyers who meet the criteria and have paid the regular LBA annual dues — there is no additional fee to be a member of the YLD.
The YLD's Mission is to help the next generation of Attorneys become acclimated with the Practice of Law here in Northeastern Pennsylvania by creating opportunities for Young Lawyers to interact act with the more experienced members of the Legal Profession, local Judges, and the Lackawanna County Community at large.
These Opportunities come in the form of social gatherings, legal education courses, and community outreach events to name a few.
