Description

Dean and Sandy Young opened Young Jewelers with the pursuit of creating beautiful contemporary and traditional designs inspired by Dean’s 25 years of experience. Young Jewelers specializes in custom design but also offers pieces at a variety of price points for any special occasion.

After attending London’s John Cass College in jewelry design and working a three-year apprentice training in Hatton Village, London’s jewelry district, Dean continued his education ultimately leading him to serve the West Linn community as a certified goldsmith inspired by unique experiences.

All work is done on-site including restoration of treasured pieces, jewelry repair, watch batter replacements and more. At Young Jewelers, it is our true pleasure to craft something special for you.

Avoid - I wanted to find a local jeweler I could depend on, but had a very poor experience here. Owner blamed me for issue instead of listening, or being accountable. I had a watch battery replaced, picked up the watch, took it home and put it into the closet. I should have inspected it closely, but wrongly assumed that the owner, who performed the repair, would have acted as a professional and alerted me to any concerns about my watch. I wore the watch a week later, and noticed that the second hand was twitching, but not moving. I took it back and was blamed for the problem. The owner told me I must have knocked it around hard enough to unseat the face of the watch and cause interference with the hands. I can't imagine the force necessary to cause something like that. I'm gentle with watches and I wear this one for office work. I noticed the issue the first time I wore it after pickup. The most likely cause is that the owner damaged my watch while replacing the battery and I didn't notice it at first. I attempted to express disappointment that he hadn't advised me of the issue during his initial inspection at drop-off, or during pick-up. He kept interrupting me and making excuses. He refused to entertain the ideas that either he hadn't noticed, or had caused the problem. Instead, the owner talked over me and kept accusing me of slamming my watch around. I had hoped to become a repeat customer, but after such a poor experience, I can't recommend Young's Jewelers. This was a truly disappointing experience.
Dean and his wife are amazing. They sourced and put together a custom ring for us in rose gold and Morganite several years ago. It was a great value and a high quality piece. Recently one of the small diamonds fell out and Dean provided a repair and cleaned the piece as well as repair an antique bracelet that was a family heirloom. The quality of workmanship, timeliness and pricing is amazing. I would recommend Young's to anyone for quality jewelry and repairs.
We got our rings from Young's and were ultimately impressed and happy with the experience. Dean epitomizes expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for a walk-in customer. Five stars no doubt!

Young made the ring I love even better! After 5 years we wanted to do an upgrade. Not only did Young upgrade the diamond, but he also put in a beautiful new setting! His work is fantastic! And not only that, he is so kind and really cares about his customers. He answered all of my questions and listened to all of my ideas.
Dean and Sandy are a great team. They bring some sophistication to West Linn. Dean is a well trained jeweler and designer. If you can imagine it, he can make it happen. Dean has made so many pieces for me and has an eye for detail. We have had some very difficult pieces that needed his expertise, he is set-up to bring happiness to whomever received his hand-made pieces. I am so happy to have in in my corner as not only a jeweler, but also on advice on pieces that I have imagined, and he has created.
Dean and his wife are lovely people. Dean's work is amazing. He does some beautiful custom pieces that you can see on display and will do whatever you want. I worked with him to design a pendant for a large black Tahitian pearl I had. He reset an emerald ring with new prongs after polishing the emerald to make it shine again. He is also going to make a pave heart pendant for me with some small diamonds I removed from a ring. Their jewelry and his work is very reasonable, too. I needed one project rather quickly as it was a gift and he had it done for me ahead of schedule. I would trust them with any of my fine jewelry and give them the highest recommendation.
Young Jewelers is a very personal and professional establishment with a unique variety of outstanding pieces; was introduced to Dean by my ophthalmologist for an eye glass repair, which was addressed exquisitely, and discovered my new go-to shop for fine jewelry. Since my first visit, I’ve purchased several pieces that are expertly designed and the value far exceeds to price. Dean and Sandy are wonderful and really appreciate having me as a client, to which I am grateful. Thanks so much for making me feel special and for the outstanding service rendered.
