Fun short train ride for only $8. The staff are super knowledgeable about the trains. They are adding onto the track, and I can't wait to see it finished. The owner is very kind and was driving our train. Price for entry: $8
Beautiful lil narrow shortline with a dedicated team of volunteers!!!! Although some mishaps cancelled the runs today still got to see 58 in action and get some of the history of the pieces here. Definitely a must see for the people of the area to understand some of the early steel transporting and enjoy a piece of history.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Very good, informative and fun. But it is a short train ride, but you can ride as many times as you want. True coal powered steam engine
A wonderful little gem. Still in it's early stages of development, this museum is a must see. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and will answer any questions. An enjoyable experience.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$6–10
Great spot for the annual Youngstown steam whistle blow! Wide array of local steel heritage rail artifacts!
What a cool collection of railroad memorabilia you can view up close and the steam ride albeit it short was fun and worth the experience.
A small scale view of the steel mills machinery used if you're into that. What got us to visit was the narrow guage steam powered train. Although the trackage is relatively short, they are expanding the trackage deeper into the forest. Ideally this place would be for Tweens or younger because the total tour lasts effectively an hour or so; Teens would bore too quickly, but if your looking for something for a block of time, from parking to departure, this was fine and will be better, come the extension of track... 4 1/2 outta 5 Halflings.
Can not stop talking about our adventure on the 58 and collection you have. Had a really great time and can not wait to come back and see the improvements you are continually making. The you tube channel ia great tooVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
What a great way ride behind a Stam locomotive. What was once everyday life in the valley is now the only regularly operating steam Loco in Northeast Ohio. Big shout out to Rick Rowland and his volunteers.
Very interesting small preservation museum of steel making history. Some great artifacts including former J&L Steel steam locomotive #58 which operates several times per year. Had a great time during my last visit. Primitive facilities, no power, water or indoor rest room.
