What is the Your Health Source?
*Your Health Source was formed to bring organic produce plus a variety of household items into your area at great prices with a convenient one stop pick up location. Members can order products even if they do not order produce. Your Health Source offers Co-ops a mixed produce variety basket. We buy from organic suppliers and local suppliers. We work to provide you with the finest and most interesting variety of produce available. We work constantly to refine and improve our service. Additionally, nutrition classes are offered periodically as well as food preparation guidelines, recipes, etc. Whole grain bread (from freshly milled grain) demonstrations are available . Come join the fun of achieving and maintaining optimal health!
How Much Does It Cost?
* $50 per delivery, plus a yearly $25 membership fee. Part of the delivery fee is used to pay members who divide the produce. If you have a small household, you will need to split your order with another small household. Most group sites will allow you to order a ½ share. If you are a large family, you may want to purchase 1 ½.
How Much Food Is It?
*The amount of food in each delivery varies between 15-30 pounds. The amounts of any one item are generally reasonable - one or two lettuces, 3 pounds of apples or bananas, etc. The weight difference depends on what we are getting. For example: berries weigh less than a bag of pears.
How Often Are Deliveries?/How Do We Get Our Food?
*Deliveries come every other week. Choose ''Join Now'' to select a location. Submit your contact information and wait for a reply (could be 2-3 days) to give you the specific details about the location you desire. After you receive the getting started information via email, you will join and be ready for the next pick date. Go to the location you have chosen. On pick up day: pick up your share, sign the sign-in sheet, and leave a check for next time. Join the Health Source Email list so you know what's coming in each order.
What Other Products Can We Get?
*Besides fruits and veggies, we offer Bosch Mixers, Grain Mills, whole grains, organic nuts, local raw honey, household products, self-care products and more at substantial savings.
What Happens If I'll Be Away On A Delivery Day?
*You find someone to pick up for you. You need to find someone to buy your share if you'll be away for a longer stint. A neighbor, relative or friend may be interested in trying the Co-op by buying your share, or you may wish to give your share as a gift. Give the name and phone number of the person picking up your share to your Coordinator.
What If I Need Extra Produce? You may order bags of carrots for juicing, bulk items, or other produce items by emailing a week prior to the delivery day. These items are delivered with your veggies. Others in your group may want to share extra boxes of apples, oranges, or potatoes (just a few examples) with you.
What If I Need Extra Fruit or Veggies?
*What If It's Too Much Food For Me? Fruit Shares are available for households which need additional fruit, and are designed to complement the fruit in the regular share. Fruit shares are $30. Too much? Share your share with another person. Vegetable shares are $16.
How Do I Join?
*You start by making a 6 week commitment (3 order cycles). This gives you a chance to decide if you really like the process and the products. Contact me in a private message or call me if you are interested in joining or just coming by on a produce day to help in making your decision.
What If I Don't Like It?
*We recommend that you try three deliveries before deciding. You may leave the group by giving at least two weeks' notice. You may rejoin whenever there is an opening, or you may occasionally substitute for other members by letting your coordinator know you are available for occasional orders.
What If I'm Interested In Hosting a Pick Up Site?
*Or want Produce Delivered to my Neighborhood? As a Host, you can save money every month on your produce. Sites are developing throughout the Metroplex. Interested in developing a business? Simply call and ask for details.
