The mission of the Yeshiva University Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago is to enrich and engage the greater Chicago Jewish community through inspired Torah living & learning.
The Yeshiva University Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago has brought ten families to the greater Chicago community, all of whom share a passion for inspired Jewish living and learning. Our Kollel fellows are dedicated, talented members of the community who engage the community- both personally and professionally. They share Torah, time and energy, enhancing the Torah lives of Jews of various backgrounds. Whether it is through a personal chavruta at our Night Learning Beit Midrash Program, at a Lunch and Learn in a local office or at one of our weekly shiurim, the YU Torah Mitzion Kollel places these interactions at the forefront of our educational mandate. The YU Torah Mitzion Kollel is a strategic asset to our community, strengthening our existing shuls and schools. Additionally, the Kollel places emphasis on the youth of our community, engaging students in Ida Crown on a daily basis, visiting schools throughout the community, and hosting programs for elementary school students.
The Kollel is an open community of learning that celebrates the core values: the primacy of Torah, the importance of Madda and the religious significance of the State of Israel. The Rosh Kollel and Kollel fellows bring passionate and committed Jewish life to our community as they grow in their personal Avodat Hashem and professional development. The Kollel expands Chicago's community of learning and serves as an incubator for budding talmidei chachamim and lay leaders, seeding the community with educators and rabbis to lead and inspire local schools and synagogues.
