The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
ywomen leaders: Empowering women and eliminating racism is the YWCA’s mission. The YWCA offers free or low-cost seminars, screenings and community events on trending topics with well-known speakers and educators who can motivate and empower women and girls.
ywomen resources: YWCA Greenwich is the only state designated and accredited provider of domestic abuse services in Greenwich, with staff who are licensed to provide a variety of victim services. YWCA Greenwich provides 100% of its services free of charge to the victims who reach them. Services include 24/7 hotlines, crisis intervention, group and individual counseling, emergency shelter, civil and criminal court advocacy and more.
ywisdom & ywonderment: YWCA preschool and youth programs serve working parents and offer half- and full-day care for preschoolers, after-school activities and vacation and summer camps. YWCA children represent diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
ywater & ywellness: YWCA offers aquatics instruction for children, youth and adults; competitive swim programs, and therapeutic opportunities for those with physical challenges. Our fitness and health programs encourage personal well-being through an array of fitness, recreation and wellness classes for all ages.
ywelcomes: Community enrichment is a strong part of YWCA’s mission. Through our racial justice programs, we bring people together and strengthen the community by embracing individual differences and encouraging equality.
