What a wonderful place! Keep doing all the good you do! Found a beautiful Jones of New York dress and accessories for the Stevie Nicks concert at Ravinia during my visit! Support this little gem of a store, so many good things reasonably priced. Helpful, welcoming staff!
The YWCA Shop is a gem of a place to find great and gently used clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories. The experience is very unique and calming, compared to other gently used stores, in that it’s easy to see displays and racks without feeling overwhelmed. It’s always a pleasure to work with the friendly and knowledgeable staff who make you feel comfortable and take their time to work with you if needed. I Highly Recommend!!!! JoAnn Wilmette
When the YWCA took over this shop, the window display caught my eye and I went in for the first time. I was greeted warmly by the manager and quickly found a beautiful cashmere sweater for $24. The Shop is organized so locating my “find” is not as challenging as other resale shops. There is a variety of clothing for all budgets and all proceeds benefit the YWCA’s great programs. Check it out!
The store is under new management. It's now part of YWCA in Evanston and has a wonderful feeling! The people who work and volunteer are fantastic. Such amazing stuff, all donated, at this store. Wouldn't call it resale exactly as it has new and high end designer too. I just Marie Kondo'ed and donated 8 bags of clothes and then bought a few fabulous jewelry pieces and a handbag. If you like Konmari, supporting women, and/or unique shopping on the North Shore then this is your place.
What a great find! The Shop is clean and bright. The clothing is displayed nicely and is very affordable for the quality. I just bought a very gently used North face all weather jacket for $35! Friendly helpful staff too.
As a dedicated shopper of 10 years I have been so pleased to learn how much actual fun I’ve had at Encore when it was called Encore, back in the day because the manager has been so helpful in getting me well dressed. The prices have made it possible to purchase more garments than I normally would have.
I love it! And the staff is so sweet. I never leave Chicago without visiting and filling up too many bags.
There are some really great finds here, and the prices are amazing. Merchandise is displayed nicely, and the refurbished space and staff make for a pleasant shopping experience.
I've visited this store for the last 7 years and have found the selections to be varied and affordable and the workers to be kind and helpful.
People were rude and tried to push sales.
