Personal Bio:
My wife, Kaitlin, and I were both raised in Janesville. The vast majority of our parents, grandparents, siblings, and extended family live in Rock county. Because we are close with our families, we wanted to be physically close to them when we started a family of our own. We moved back to the area in 2016 and just welcomed a little daughter named Zelie, born May 25th, 2017. While having a new baby limits free time, my hobbies consist of playing musical instruments, fixing an old house, and, of course, the Packers. At home, we also have two cats that I like... sometimes....
Dr. Julia Foster-Armstrong has been practicing dentistry at 335 Vernal Avenue since 1975. Since I have been a patient of hers from the age of 9, she was of great importance in inspiring me to become a dentist. I have always felt a sense of kinship in Milton because of how much of my family has been involved going back at least to my great-grandparents. Also, having seen dentistry in a variety of settings around the state of Wisconsin (and being more equipped to ascertain the quality of dentistry and service), I can easily say that Dr. Julie is truly a wealth of knowledge and experience in this community. Her conscientiousness and skill is why I wanted to work with her specifically.
Academic and Professional Background:
Kaitlin and I both attended Marquette University for college. She has a bachelor's degree in nursing and has been employed in special needs, pediatric, internal medicine, and cardiothoracic surgery and transplant nursing since graduating magna cum laude in 2014. In 2013, I graduated summa cum laude from Marquette University with a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences. I was awarded Marquette's Edward Carroll award for highest GPA in the class. I also graduated summa cum laude from Marquette Dental School in 2016. During my time in dental school, I was a member of the American Student Dental Association and the Special Care Dentistry Association, a group dedicated to dentistry for patients with special needs.
This past year, I have been working both with Dr. Julie in Milton in a full service dental office and with HealthNet of Rock County in Janesville to provide either free or Medicaid services. Being able to work at two locations has given me the opportunity to expand my dental experience while helping those who otherwise would have very limited access to care.
I am so thankful for my patients who have welcomed me like family. I love helping others and take my commitment to patient health and well-being seriously. I am looking forward to providing dentistry for many years to come.
