Zanesville Museum of Art houses some of the most amazing displays of art from the Pottery capital of the World. Pottery that are incredibly detailed and beautifully painted in many colors, sizes, and shapes that adorn about 20 galleries on three floors. The walls are lined with paintings and other exhibitions of art from past to modern art. They have splendid items from other countries on display. Many items are donated by charitable foundations as well as by local and nationwide donors. They are always expanding and upgrading items in the museum and value your input by asking for proposals on future exhibitions. The docents are very proud and knowledgeable of this museum and greet you with open arms. The admission price is by donation only and your support is appreciated. They also have a nice gift shop with unique items. We were astonished from the moment we walked into the museum. It's very clean and modern.
Absolutely stunning place to spend some quiet time. I'm a culture starved New Yorker that has lived in Guernsey County for 9 years. Visiting this museum felt like a gigantic breath of life was breathed into my body. The installations were well presented, clean, orderly and vibrant. The lighting was perfect. The noise cancelation engineering was perfect...not a single outside noise was heard during my visit in any part of the campus. I can't believe entry was FREE. There is a donations box I highly suggest donating to, this is a gem that must be preserved.

I love the mix of new and old, around the world and local. There's even a section for students to have their art on display. Best of all its free and their library's full of old books

Amazing little museum with great exhibits for kids and adults. They do events every once in a while related to art and have great featured artist sections they update regularly. Great place for a date, some peace and quiet or for the art snob we all wish we were.
