First time at Zen, and I was so surprised, in a good way! My cousin and I have tried many nail salons in the area, and this one has been my favorite so far. I was skeptical at first when they applied the dip powder to my nails used a different technique, but they came out flawless! For my pedicure, I was also pleasantly surprised. They had hot water which sounds silly, but a lot of nail salons don't seem able to get their pedicure water hot enough. They weren't too rough, and their process seemed more efficient. Will definitely be returning!
Brian is the absolute best , I highly recommend him to all of my friends !!! He does amazing work and necker disappoints me ! The salon is relaxing its self and everyone there is super nice !!
Sad to say this place has really gone down hill the past year or so. My daughter and I have been getting our nails done here for about 8 years. It used to be a fun, friendly place where they had great services. But unfortunately, we will be taking our money and business elsewhere from now on. The past several times we've been in we've had bad experiences. Receptionists are rude and unprofessional. They have either unlicensed or very inexperienced techs working on customers now. The last time I was there the guy doing my pedicure burned my leg with a hot stone, cut my foot, and barely performed half of the services I was paying for. It was the worst pedicure I've ever had. The final straw for me was when my daughter, who has special needs, returned home with her caretaker with a cut and a blister on her finger. I still can't fathom how you can blister someone while doing a manicure, but it happened.

I went with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. The pedicure was about perfect, but the manicure is horrible! Looks like I had my nails done 2 weeks ago and not 4 days ago. I’m beyond disappointed!!Services: Pedicure
I have been to Zen on and off for the past several years. Lately I've been disappointed. There's no point in telling them your not happy, because your made to feel like your being difficult. Today I went in showed a pic of the color I wanted. A dark purple glitter color. The tech showed me the color and in the bottle it looked right. But once he started applying it, it was super light, so light it looks pink not purple. So he added a few more layers. It got a little darker, but absolutely no where near the correct color. On top of that, he never asked what shape I wanted my nails. So I left with an extreme square shape that I will have to fix once I get home. Idk about anyone else, but the amount of money I spend on my nail upkeep, I should NOT have to do any "extra" when I get home. When I 1st arrived I was adamant about NOT wanting to soak my nails, I told the receptionist and the tech. And then what do u think they did I have extremely sensitive nail beds and cuticles and the strong chemical used to soak is not something I want my fingers setting in for any amount of time. My fingers are now extremely dried out, my nails are not shaped and the color is wrong. I also asked for dip powder and pretty sure i recieved acrylics. It's not hard to be able to tell the difference, One u dip your finger into, and the other is spread on with brush.He didn't even speak to me but maybe twice the whole time. I don't understand why u would not take the time to ask your customer their input every step of the a way. I work in CS and usually tip very well, usually over tip. I didn't want to tip at all due to being so unhappy and not feeling welcome to their place of business, but I left a $5 tip on a $50 bill. That is the lowest tip I have ever left. I am utterly disappointed and really wish I could find a nail tech and nail salon, that would be happy to accept my money for a job WELL DONE. I have been scared to get a pedi since the last time I got one here at zen. This is getting ridiculous that so many nail salons are getting away with subpar work while raising their prices, and treating customers like just another dollar. Do better Zen! And other salon as well, you would gain so many loyal customers if we recieved better service and more polite and respectful interactions. I'm going to try to post my requested color and then the job I received. Hopefully it works. I hope this comment has helped someone. Even if it only helps one person speak up and demand to get what they pay for, I will be happy!! I guess I will be looking for ANOTHER salon once again in 2-3 weeks. I had a terrible experience at this nail salon. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and the quality of the service was subpar. The technician who worked on my nails was clearly inexperienced and didn't seem to know what she was doing. The nail polish started chipping within a day, and my nails looked uneven and poorly shaped. When I tried to address my concerns with the staff, they were dismissive and unhelpful. Overall, I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone and will not be returning.

Zen Nail Spa is the very best nail spa in all of orange park and Jacksonville! I've been taken care of there for about 6 or 7 years and my technician and friend Strawberry is professional. Extremely skilled, friendly and kind. Spa is clean and beautiful and all the technicians there are fun, friendly and professional too. I refer everyone I know! 1000000 stars!
